Just as I finished Deathstroke I came up with a better way to do the scales on the armor (which are present on this one just impossible to see) so I'll be doing a 2.0 version of him which should be easy since I now have the parts all done and a head I am happy with. Also still need to add the sword and staff.

Although I really enjoy the current incarnation of Manhunter (Kate Spencer), Mark Shaw was my favorite. I am very happy with how this turned out, but still need to work on the head and add the staff.

Awesome! I have plans to make a Deathstroke with most of those same parts -- how did you do the head, though? That thing is flawless.

Not familiar with Manhunter, but I like how it's looking - what's the recipe for that guy? (obviously has quite a few mods to it.)

Thanks! Head was the part I was dreading the most lol. Used the MU Union Jack/Hydra head and sculpted the right eye over and added the ear caps. Got lucky and was happy with the first left eye I did.

Mark Shaw held the Manhunter title in the 80s around the Invasion timeline. Had like a 22 issue run and also appeared in an arc with the current Manhunter.
Head - MU Doom
Torso - Heavily Sculpted BnB
Lower Torso - ROC Destro

IW, your customs are amazing -- and this is coming from a guy who barely tolerates DC & doesn't play Champions at all -- I still love seeing your work !

That Deathstroke is great !

Wow, I figured if I ever saw a Mark Shaw Manhunter it'd be because I made one. Badass man. and 'stroke is looking good too.

Any plans to do Kate? (still bummed she lost her own book, waiting for a collection on the backup stories from whatever Bat-book they're running in)

Wow!!!! (standing ovation) The deathstroke is officially my favorite custom you've ever done now. And that is a monumental achievement given your portfolio. Amazing job on the head. Very clean and neat. Very nice paint job. The parts Choices(especially the head) are inspired. I don't know that a 2.0 version is needed. Even without the scales being visable you nailed this character. You did a bang up job on the manhunter too. Very good sculpting and paint job. The design scheme on the costume had to be very difficult to paint and you did well. Very nice parts choices. Nice choice on the Doom head. That fig was probably actually the harder to do but I'm just in love with the deathstroke. I love the character and this is a great custom of him. So excited he's gonna have a bigger roll in Brightest Day. No critiques. great job.

Wow! Ty everyone. These were two that I really liked as characters but had been holding off on for one reason or another. I am also about at the end of my DC most wanted. I'll be posting one more in next day or so that is done except for 1 part i am waiting on and then the only 2 I really have left that I wanna try are The Heckler and Checkmate (The 80s Gold and black deco).

If anyone has any ideas for the head for the Checkmate fig plz pm me.

Will

Dunno what you're willing to pay (or even what the set is going for these days) but the SW Crucible set has helmets that are pretty damn close to the look of the Knights.

Otherwise I'd just resculpt any masked head. It's a simple design.

I have an extra of those helmets. Pm me if you decide to go that direction.

Deathstroke is perfect. I've tried him twice myself to mixed results, but yours is factory quality.

Both of these look awesome! Cant wait to see your improvements on your version 2.0 Deathstroke. I believe that is the first Mark Shaw i've ever seen in any scale. Great work, keep it up.
