Futureshock:2o5o Figure art...

Here are a few of the pics that I have for Futureshock:2o5o.

It really is mainly a simple matter of film filter, and the hardest part remains making the actual figures and vehicles of course.

"Vandro Gideon scouts the caravan through Cyrus Ruins"

Image
"Fabianna reviews the carto log of the RCD-6 Recon Drone"

Image
"Dr. Tatia Bejou, Geophysics and Engineering Specialist, in the back of the GeoLab"

Image
"The Tic drone mags to the rear of the A5 Mercury"

Image
"Maddy Sweetbush checks the Sensory Stations in the back of the Explorer HST Cortez"

Image
"Ms. Madison Sweetbush, Sensory Tech Specialist"

Image
"Fabianna Poppins & "Bad Company" "

Image
"The CG Station inside the Explorer HST Cortez"

Image
"Cdr. Savadoro Rodak, Federation Epsilon-5 Bolt Commander & E-5 Patrol Drones"

Image
"An E-5 Archbishop Unit"

"Federation Epsilon-5 Units... aka "Murder Drones" "

Thank you for looking, and I always appreciate feedback...

Zenn

Very cool pics and dio backdrops. I've got to admit Maddy Sweetbush makes me giggle. Sounds like a perfect addition to the next Bond Flick.

These are friggin' sweet. Your Verse is so immersive. It unlike anything done by anyone else.

A suggestion (not a critique though ;-) ) would be to photoshop all the joints out on the posters. It's easy to hide if you posterise stuff. ;-)

Your unique approach to customizing is very good, the art puts it over the top.

You mean all of them or just the robots? :-)

Thanks, Marcus. I'd actually begun this endeavor by doing just that-- editing out all the joint lines. I have many done in that manner, but I think that I actually like them more with their joints visible-- revealing true that they are toys. That's, lately thinking though.

While I do find this style cool...

"Galilea settles before the sunset"

Image
"Dr. Geneva Kristicos, at home in Europa Metro"

Image
"Technicians studying radio-geological anomalies inside the GeoLab"

...I think that I might prefer that instant recognition that comes from leaving the joint lines intact, despite all else [comic realism], you know?

Because, in general, it still is primarily about the toys-- and that's where all the real work is to be found. A case in point...

Thank you for the kind words too...

I get what you're saying. I think having both pictures is great. I like to see them as toys, but also like the Photoshopped images as well.

With the joint lines removed, they almost look real. Great stuff.

You know I love all of these James. I'll try to go deeper into how and why as time permits.
