Texas Rangers: This small but growing group is working from a mobile base somewhere in Texas. There mission is to take back the state one alien corpse at a time. They take no prisoners. They are an alien execution squad. One riot, one Ranger! The movement was started by Jonah Earp whose family tree can be traced back to Wyatt Earp the frontier lawman. They where a uniform which is made up of the Texas state colors. Red isn't on the uniform because it's on the bodies they leave behind! They are heavily armed. One standard issue weapon is the Taser Baton.

I think he needs the bushy mustache to tie him the Earp family name. Plus it will make him look less like a Nick Fury clone. Also, I'd suggest painted the star/badge silver or gold instead of yellow.

I like the story - again, I like the concept of a new kind of Ranger. And I love anything with a futuristic cowboy theme. I also like the figure. It gives an awesome early 80's comic character vibe, which is definitely in your wheelhouse. The only thing I don't feel as good about probably comes down to the New Earth angle. I assume you are making this in the New Earth story style that is all over HT, and that whatever it's called Sector 13? If so, the one thing I really dig about that verse is the gritty and dark tones. Your story and figure are very cool, but he is visually neither gritty nor dark, so he seems out of place to me.

That isn't a critique of the job you did on him, more of an observation. And I might also be incorrect in the context you are making him.

Regardless, I'm glad to see you back posting new stuff here.

EDIT: just saw pluv's post, and the 'stache would be a great idea. and maybe a friend named Doc for him too. :shifty:
