Ok - didn't spend too much time on these guys, but I wanted to share anyway.

Image

Hated the Al Bundy/George W. Pleasence head for Hannibal. And I know the Trakker head looks nothing like Neeson or Peppard (who was a giant douche anyway), I like it a lot better.

Face is a little more Dirk Benedict-y than Bradley Cooper-y, (although he looks like neither), but I love the Mutt head, and it works well for a young pretty-boy. The flesh tones aren't noticeably different in-hand (because I painted the neck to match the head), that's just the flash washing it out.

I gave BA some angrier eyebrows, but he's still not where I want him to be and I left Murdock alone - he's actually alright as-is.

Then a couple of no-brainers, James Bond, and his cousin , er, Angus MacGyver:

Swapped out some Indy arms for the too-short Murdock ones (need to do that for Murdock as well) and gave him Stormy's sneakers. Need to darken his hair, but the Joker Squad head works better than I thought it would. Somebody needs to shrink some SG1 heads for me...

Cheers!

Dig the Bond.

You found some relatively easy ways to fix a lot of the problems with the production figures. I like what you did to the Murdock body on the MacGyver figure. Those arms are a surprisingly big improvement. If you have any on hand, the Deluxe Indy from the horse set has slightly longer arms than the other versions (about 1/8"), so those might go even further toward fixing that whole thing. I also like the Bond; that's a good look for him. I also like where you're going with the Mutt head: I'm not crazy about that sculpt, but it's a much more fitting look for the character.

Nice Chief, consider that MacGyver custom stolen.

I went ahead and re-vamped Mac - turned his leather jacket into a cloth vest so he wouldn't look so much like Murdock. Of course, now he looks WAY too much like MacGruber :-/

-- I gotta find a different head...

LOL Macgruber. You guys are cruel.

Impressive set, and the MacGuyver is gold. Makes me wonder what our resident impresaria MacGuyver would do with that recipe.

Question I wonder more is, who here is looking at the A-Team van and thinking of Punisher van?

Might have to look into the Hannibal body for my self custom. Seems we have the same wardrobe and penchant for the pastry given the dimensions of his middle.

Nice fixes, Chief.

I definitely prefer your "no-nonsense" expression on Hannibal-- even if he is supposed to be a cheeky type of character. I always thought that he could be a bit scrappier...

Why does it not surprise me that you have taken that route? ;-)

The Mac just jumps off the page though. Very cool.

That Daniel Craig head came from the Golden Compass line of action figures, which were largely crap, but had some awesome likenesses, like this one. Trigatecreations.com also has a Daniel Craig sculpt made by them, which is a good likeness as well.

You probably should have left Macgyver with the leather jacket. I'm really not liking the vest. You could also make the jacket a jean jacket but the leather one was sort of his trademark.

Hey THANKS for the info! Now I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for one of those crappy Golden Compass figures....
