As World War Z dragged on and the world descended into chaos, there rose a new class of mercenary. Lowlifes so good at what they did that survivors threw themselves at their mercy "paying" for their services not with cash but with their daughters. The Celt was not such a mercenary. It is said that he was the last noble merc on the east coast. No one knows where he came from or what his training was, they just know when he showed up zed heads rolled.

Please tell me he has red hair...

I wonder if you could paint the lower section of the flak jacket so it looks like a kilt pattern. He seems to be the kind of guy that would have touched up his gear a little to make it a bit more personalized.

Hmm... I like the kilt suggestion, perhaps I'll give it a try. Now I also need to pick out an unmasked head. Thanks a lot ;-)

Great work on the figure. I like the background, and I'm a huge fan of WWZ as well.

As an Irishman, a WWZ fan and a customizer, I have to say that this is one bad @$$ custom. The riot shield on the gun is a great idea. This guy can definitely give the undead a bad day. Great work on the custom, solid idea and custom.

Nice! Like the working in the colors of the Irish flag too. Maybe do a white sleeve on the skin arm or a tape wrap.

I like this custom a lot. The colors and story are great. I don't see it as a good zombie survivor, though. For two reasons, mainly. The shield (which is my second favorite part of the custom, BTW) and the exposed arm. Both of those spell death in a zombie apocalypse.

Riot shield gun FTW. The only thin I'm not diggin' is the bare arm. Not sure too many Zombie hunters would expose thier flesh like that.

great custom. The paint apps and the parts do work well together. I too like the gun/shield combo

Thanks for all the comments. As far as the bare arm is concerned, I don't think it's ever advisable yet the Ao2 characters and most of the customs sport the look and since they thus inspired the Celt here I just went with it.

To clear it up in his bio:

The Celt leaves his right arm uncovered, when asked one time why he stated, "I don't advise having any skin uncovered but damn it it lets me move my shooting arm faster. Besides I never let the z get close enough to me to take a bite."

If there are any suggestions about how to further explain / flesh this idea out let me know.

Thanks.

Maybe the bare-arm could have religious tatoos. Something that conceivably he wouldn't want to have covered? Blessings and Mary and what nots.

the bare arm could act as a lure? I don't recall how the zombies tracked prey in WWZ, but if it was by smell, give him a cut or two so the scent of fresh blood can lure them in.

I like the tattoo idea. I thought about the lure idea as well but it wouldn't make sense to cut your shooting arm. Hmm...
