I've had this in mind for some time. I want a classic Doomguy custom. I have to work on a parts breakdown-

arms- Tomax/Xamot, but Ripper could work as it's at Family Dollar and close enough
armor- Wraith, cut up a bit
head- Duke? Needs to match the Bruce Willis/Arnie combo look
body and legs- generic military, preferably green with gray boots
helmet- not sure if anything existing for 25th or RoC looks close enough, might have to build it

guns- pistols are standard, there's 1 or 2 shotguns. I don't know if any miniguns exist. 2 figures had chainsaws recently. Rocket launcher tube... Bazooka with something on the end? Plasma rifle and BFG would have to be built from parts.

Likewise, the head of Sgt Airborne could make a reasonable Doom 3 Doomguy head

Greenshirts could work as a base body.

Maybe resolute Duke head.

Cool to see I wasn't the only one brainstorming a Doomguy. I just couldn't figure out the helmet when it came down to it.

I plan to stick to the Bruce Willis/Arnie combo face from the games.

Going with what is available to me, my plan now is-

Bazooka- legs, rocket launcher. If I can find a proper green paint I can leave the legs untouched.
Ripper(yellow shirt)- arms, lower torso
Wraith- upper torso, body armor

That leaves a head and finding an Eel helmet. The backpack can be a generic brown 25th backpack of that type. Marauder sells some weapons that I can use.

WIP shot, no paints. Bazooka legs, Ripper waist and arms, Wraith torso and armor.

Looks great so far. The Bazooka legs look good and bulky, just wish they had the full knee articulation.

I was afraid they might not fit in any waist but Bazooka's but they seem fine. A bit tight and snug when moved but no problems keeping the feet flat. The Wraith armor had pieces cut out but with a backpack in, it'll stay in place.

I'll also be using a spare Ripper/Torch 2-pack to make at least a shotgun zombie, perhaps a normal zombie as well depending on how many more Wraiths I can buy for their armor. The zombie can use a random head, shotgun zombie maybe one of those Lex Luthor heads. But I still need to find proper scale pump action shotguns of the classic style.

Fair enough. I still think wrestling figures are the way to go with the head though.

How about Randy Orton or Kane with some added scupted on hair.

It depends on if they're on sale or not. I'm trying to stay as low budget as I can and won't be gutting any expensive toys for parts.

I found my body for a Cyberdemon today.

Cyberdemon WIP. Legs are reversed and the Agent Helix launcher is carved into the arm
