"You're going to be in for a pretty unpleasant surprise once you reach the urban areas. I'm guessing all you've been seeing out there in the wastelands are Sand Vipers and Desert Scorpions. Don't get all uppity, I'm not saying it's been a cakewalk for you, but Cobra rolls out the heavy artillery for the old concrete jungles. Early on, they tried to hold onto major cities with their standard troops...Vipers, blue shirts, Alley Vipers. They got slaughtered. That's when the Elite Alley Vipers were born. Ever notice that a Cobra trooper's uniform is directly related to how much training time Cobra has invested in them? Blue shirts get about a week of training and they wear canvas. Well, Elite Alley Vipers wear suits of armor that make them look like medieval knights. The good news is it limits their mobility considerably. The bad news is they don't need to move fast; they're pretty much walking pillboxes. They get deployed usually one to a squad of regular Alley Vipers, which doesn't sound too bad, but it's been enough to secure Cobra's stranglehold on just about every major urban center in America. The key to dealing with these monsters is to either hit them with heavy explosives or get creative. When we were trying to take back the auto plants, I ended up hitting one with a commandeered bulldozer. That almost did the job."

And now the pictures...

Parts:
Head: Night Adder w/ part of Accelerator suit helmet
Torso: Reactive Armor Heavy Duty
Arms: Accelerator Suit
Legs: Accelerator Suit
Shield: Alley Viper v1 repro
Neck Armor: part of Accelerator suit helmet
Backpack: Elite Viper

Finally got all of my fodder sorted and my workstation set up! I've got several other customs just waiting to be completed, so hopefully I'll get to those in the next week or so. Can't wait for the PoC Alley Vipers to come out to pair with this guy.

Good looking figure. Works for me. And it's certainly great to see you back in action.

I was thinking the same think. I've missed the Reign of the Serpent customs. Excellent take on AV. Definitely gives him a force to be reckoned with feel.

Looks good, and a solid bio as always.

I miss the "Alley Viper Face mask" though...I think you could work a modified one over in addition to the rest of the helmet...I think it'd also help hide a bit more of that Ugly Night Adder head.

Not sure if you want to do it...but I think it'd be pretty sweet to add a grapple gun on a shoulder mount...like the predator's guns.

Love the custom, and the bio. Alley Vipers are a great Cobra troop, and this guy only makes them more formidable! I'm kinda new so not familiar with ''Reign of the Serpent'' story, any links to a fuller story? Or is it piece by piece with each custom?

Looks good, and as always the Bio it was really sells it.

I'm curious about that wanted poster in the background. Did you make that?

I'm pretty much convinced Hasbro needs to use Reign of the Serpent as the basis for a GOOD GI Joe video game.

Makes me think of playing Army of Two when the heavy armored units would show up, I can really imagine one of these guys stomping down the street with some Alley Vipers and ruining someone's day.

definitely a badass. I love the creative use of the helmet parts. I've already been looking for some extras of those just as regular helmets, but now I'll be wanting more, especially for the way you made the armored collar out of the lower half.

Glad to hear you are up and running again.

I sort of dole it out a bit at a time with every custom. Here's a link to a big thread with all of my RotS customs so far (and the pieces of the story)

Yeah, I bashed that together as a Days of Future Past homage. I've posted the full image a few times in the past. Here it is again, if for some reason anyone wants to use it. Feel free to modify it however you want:

Just went through and read all of the entries and looked at all of the customs.

1. Seeing them all in one thread, one after another, is a great way to go through them all. Even if people have been following along with your story one a time I recommend they go through and read all of them again.
2. I love, love what you've done with Cobra, Destro, the Coil, etc. All of the monstrous creations are my favorite, especially both version of Nemesis. Way too cool.

Where's the bright orange? You can't be a top of the line Alley Viper without bright orange.
