True confession: I have really no familiarity with this character other than that he was one of several post-1988 Joes I happened to take notice of while perusing the YoJoe archives. He seemed like one of the few from that era I might actually want in my collection, so I decided to make one in 25th form.

Wasn't sure where to start until I got a hold of a Dusty with the "unreleased" wave of ROC vehicles, thanks to a certain Canadian bird-man. I think it's a near-perfect base figure.

All the customization was really done on his accessories.

The hat used to be the top half of a PTE figure's head. That was probably the hardest thing to do, though the grafting together of the Cobra Officer and Breaker harnesses was no picnic.

Other than that wacky gun and case Recoil came with...something feels off, might be the hat, but it reminds me more of Pathfinder than Recoil.

Doesn't look dead on b/c the hat's different...reminded me of Pathfinder from having the boonie hat w/ sunglasses combo.

He's right, the hat isn't exact. It's just as close as I could find to the look of whatever that weird lid on the actual figure's head is supposed to be.

I'm open to alternative suggestions, if anyone's got any.

very nice figure. It is a shame that dusty and vehicle was not released here. I would have picked it up.

I had so forgot about that character, that when I saw your post I thought it might be a retake on Coil Crusher (wouldn't that be a great cobra name, ReCOIL?)
