So long as the o-ring wasn't old and worn out, *every* single one of my RAH figs could and still can hold a twisted-waist pose. For some idiotic incompetent reason the JvC team shortened the torsos just enough that the o-ring wasn't pulled taught enough to pull the torso into the pelvis enough for that contact surface to have any friction. They tried to solve it by texturing the contact surfaces but all that really did was give less contact surface overall and make it easier for the o-ring's want to be a 'flat O' instead of a 'twisted O' to win out so the fig just pulled right back to facing front. The JvC team were amongst the most incompetent toy engineers I've ever had the misfortune to ever blow hundreds of dollars on.

I'd mostly go with 25th style articulation, with POC style added wrist articulation on some, if not all figs. Back and leg screws are a must, but hold the things together with a rubber band, and I'll ship them all off to the same land fill as all those E.T. game cartridges, and tell the manufacturer to try again. I'd love to be able to get some kind of rotational joint into the legs above the knee level, but that's a hard one to pull off. Gotta have added head and neck articulation, though. Seems like so few figures these days can actually look up.

On some figures, those IM2 style hip joints might work, but only if you can lay down the upper posts to be closer to horizontal.

The shirt/pants divide at the waist is a much more natural solution, as our eyes are used to a dividing line there due to our style of clothes.

8-O That is exactly what most of the New Sculpt figs would look like if they came to life!
