Got the word from General Hawks twitter updates and checked my inbox. My Resolute box sets are in stock and ready to ship.

So if you were waiting for them to arrive before ordering, now's your chance.

I've really cooled on these since they were announced. They're nice and all, but I really can't justify $90 + shipping on 14 figures at this point in my collecting life. Especially for characters I already have tons of.

Tempting, but it'll wait after my trip.
I have ideas how to use them so if I don't spend too much on vacation, I'll order them.

Given what happened with the last few multipack sets, I am waiting to see if these get cheaper. I understand that these were made in much lower numbers so that may not happen. If not, I am okay with missing out on them. As much as loved the cartoon, I just don't feel a burning need for these in my collection.

So... the sets I got are sloppy... really really sloppy. The paint, esp the eyes, are TERRIBLE (I had to add both eyes to my Firefly, and 1 eye to Scarlett. The rest I can't fix). And the joints are loose, esp the ankles... I'm not sure if its from being jammed into the trays, but their ankles give out and they fall over very easily. I was looking forward to these sets sooooooo much... now I have to decide if I want to spend the $ and order more sets, or just give up now.

It's pretty ironic when the figures from overseas Ebay sellers are better quality than what you get from the toy company.

The Cobra accessories were the highlight of this whole endeavor, IMHO.

Zartan's guns are both great. Destro's case is phenomenal and his rifle is wicked cool. Even the Baroness' twin steampunk pea shooters are interesting.

Otherwise these sets were pure fodder (custom and trade) for me. On the plus side, I'm genuinely surprised by how much custom potential there was in the Joe set. On the downside, there was not one figure in the bunch that I wanted to keep intact for myself.

Yeah, I got mine last night and had mixed feelings. The accessories and webgear are pretty cool, a couple of the figures are nice, and the rest is pretty much custom fodder.

I had some of the same issues with loose joints, especially on the feet of the Joes. The Resolute Duke leg tooling must be wearing out (it's only used for 4 of the 7 figures in the set...I can't imagine why it would be getting beaten up). Destro's design is interesting and the figure is very striking, although I haven't been able to get his (theoretically) removable arm out of its socket. A lot of the figures have cool parts: Duke's head is nice, as are Flint's and the Alley-Viper's. The vests on the Alley-Viper, Firefly, and Beachhead are very cool. Flint's webgear is kind of odd; Stalker's is a nice design, but the execution is a bit unwieldy (the knife sheath, that is). The knives that come with Stalker and Beachhead are great, though, as is Scarlett's rifle. As Spin Doctor mentioned, Zartan's guns and Destro's case are probably the highlights of the entire set. Oh, and Flint's little forearm shell-pouch is pretty sweet.

Paint issues abound, too. And Scarlett looks like a dude.

All in all, probably not worth what I paid for it, but I'll find a way to use most of this stuff.

I received mine yesterday as well. Haven't opened them up yet but I'm really looking forward to it. I have plans for the extras I have, making more Resolute style figures and such.

I am glad someone posted this...my paint apps were OK. But what the heck is the extra robot arm for that is next to Destro?

That's suppose to be his arm "battle damaged" or whatever. In the original figures it looked like it was easier to swap the arms out.

Beach head and flint, then scarlett are my favs, cobra set is kinda blah.
Destro is awesome and the gear for zartan and the hood is too, otherwise just ok figures in the cobra set

I got my sets today too. I'm not exactly extremely impressed. They look ok, but I guess they're not worth the wait. $45 sets and I picked up a new 10 pack CORPS! set today for $12, hehe. Sure the CORPS! figures aren't as articulated, but these new ones are almost as detailed.

But still, they were "gotta have it sets. I want them equally as much. The Cobra set, Cobra Commander, Storm Shadow, and Firefly make me want to just leave them in the package. Destro, Baroness, Alley Viper, and Zartan make me want to open it. The G.I.Joe set though, I'm just tired of seeing so many Snake Eyes figures, but otherwise the rest of the set is great. Scarlett's head is a little too big though and straight on she looks like a woman in her late 40s/early 50s. Not too great of a sculpt for Scarlett.

But I'll display them and be fine. I hope these never make it to TJ Maxx or something like that really. It'll be a huge punch in the gut for those of us that paid full price.

Looking for some input - I haven't picked the sets up yet. As a customizer, I'm really looking at both for their custom potential, not collectability. There seem to be some interesting parts in here. Since they are internet exclusives, I doubt I will ever see them go for cheap in any retail format, and targeting individual figures, thus far seems very high priced via ebay.

If I can get both complete sets, and pay a total of $89 (incl shipping), does this seem like a good deal? I know it's relative. I'm sure I'd use up all the parts pretty easy. I'm thinking more in terms of just how likely are these to become available cheaply later? And is $89 incl shipping about as good a deal as it gets right now?

Well the internet exclusive stuff ended up at Ross and some of the other stores so there might be a chance they would too. I think I might shoot for that option on these or pick a couple of them up from someone that's going to trade some off.

I remember hearing that, but since I don't have a Ross or it's equivalent here locally, I never saw any of them pop up. You are probably right though that they will come down on the secondary market at some point.
