Haha, it's true. I like the characterizations of the Roughnecks and the Renegades, the action and animation were definitely a few steps above the usual Sunbow offerings, and even if he didn't fit into the GI Joe universe very well Nemesis Enforcer is sweet.

What the Big H needs to do is release this like the four mini-series were; with a small set of movie specific figures. Maybe some ME style Renegades, Jinx or Law & Order, Pythona (she seems to be a fan favorite), perhaps a "mophing" Cobra Commander.

See, it's the opposite for me. I got the DVD release from a years ago. Shoot, I might still have the VHS somewhere. But I am really looking forward to watching this in HD on the big screen with the surround sound on. I'm just hoping they did a good job on the remastering.

I Despise Blu-Ray so it's more of a personal thing for me. But if you're looking forward to it I hope you enjoy :-D

I am really curious to hear the audio commentary Buzz Dixon is providing. I remember reading on line a few years back that he did do some of the writing, until Ron Friedman took over. Also I wonder if this edition will have the trailer?

The older version which currently own has short trailers for the GI Joe :A Real American Hero miniseries from 1983.

So it comes in a two pack with a DVD and BluRay? Does the audio commentary come on the DVD? That's a big sell for me these days. Might have to NetFlix this one for the commentary, I can't justify buying another version of this movie. Already got it on DVD and VHS.

I never understood why Lady Jaye was on the cover for this, she has one line in the movie and is barely seen.

I went to Target, Best Buy, and Borders.

None of them carried it in store.

I *think* Wal-Mart has the $12 version.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....

Yeah, WM is the only place I found the regular DVD.... no Blu-Ray anywhere, so I ordered it online.

I got the regular DVD at WalMart for $12. It was the only copy left in the store according to my wife. I watched it last night but did not check out the bonus features yet. Some people are having some problems with the initial PLAY menu. It has previews on the disc. If you press the menu button it skips to the wrong menu and trying to play from there does weird stuff. If you chapter foward through the previews, it works fine. Way to go Shout.

There was some debate on if the widescreen format was a true widescreen. It appears that it is not. The package says the 4:3 is the original format and side-by-side screenshots show the video was cropped to widescreen. Not a big deal to me, but something you should know before you get dissapointed.

Tried three stores today, could only find the DVD version. Guess I'll order the Blu-Ray online.
