I've mentioned in other MU threads about my hatred of the Daredevil/Bullseye/MoonKnight molds. Well, the SHIELD agents and figures who share their mold (Winter Soldier and Target Punny) use the same arms & legs as Daredevil - their only saving grace is the awesome torso.

Size consistency has been a big issue with the MU figs - Black Spidey towers over other characters, even though he's only supposed to be 5'10", while Daredevil & Moony (about 6' each) are the smallest figs out there. It's a huge pain in the ass to fix these guys (often lengthening torsos and whatnot.) But at least with the SHIELD-type dudes, it isn't too hard - usually just a lower leg swap.

Here's what I mean -- the Nick Fury that everyone was so excited to get (that I'm throwing up on Ebay later this month because it sucks):

And compared to my custom Fury, which just employs a lower leg swap (Crimson Guard)

Then the rest of my SHIELD agents got some Viper lower legs and it improved the figures 1000% -- now they're the right size for my MU figs AND my Joes:

I built my Winter Soldier figure nearly a year before we got a preview of the actual fig -- but when the Hasbro version came out I did some part swapping to get cleaner paint apps:

And then today, I decided to pick up a Punisher/Iron Man 2-pack. When I got it in-hand, I realized that I really didn't like the head at all, so I scrapped it, gave him some Cap legs, a BBI head and a new paint job (boots aren't really so white in-person):

Compared to my previous version:

So these figs are easily salvageable - just needs a lower leg (or total leg) swap and you're good to go. The arms work way better on these torsos than on the original DD mold, so if you can deal with the tiny hands, it's an easy fix.

Cheers!

I'm floored at what a difference that makes.

Wow...This give me ideas for something I'm working on right now. I'm needing to make a few figs taller. Now I'm looking at there legs alot closer. :-D

Consider your Agents of Sheild copied. Very sweet customs.

The SHIELD crew is top notch. And the CG legs are very versatile, and put to great use here. I have a feeling there will be many a CG TRU pack nabbed on clearance soon following this post.

lol.

I'm torn on the new Punisher. technically much closer to comic appearance, and in many ways fits in better with your others. Yet, I really loved your Joe-sized Trakker head version. Maybe since you also use a Trakker head on your Doc Savage, it makes sense to go a different route, but how does the old head look on the new body?
