Like so many others of you, I am thouroughly dissapointed that H has not released the Z sibs in 25th/RoC/PoC form, so, like so many others of you, I decided to make my own.

First is sister Z:
This figure started at as an homage to a very dear friend of mine and can be seen here http://www.joecustoms.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=25241 as "The Freaky Goth Girl." I decided to go with a Tri-Gate torso for that figure and to turn this one into Zarana.
She's made up of 25th Scarlett's upper and lower torso and upper arms, 25th Lady Jay's upper legs, which had to trimmed to fit with in the legs area of Scarlett's torso. The lower arms/gloves are AOTP Baroness as are the lower legs and knees. I cut off one the leg pouches and mounted a knife sheath (trimmed down) from all mighty Marauder. It looks OK, but it didn't turn out quite as nice as I'd hoped. The leg straps are made from Green Stuff. If I can get ahold of a shelth from a Green Shirt or one of the early O13 figures, I'll swap it out.
I used some Green Stuff (really starting to love that stuff) to uh... "enhance" Scarlett's upper torso for a couple reasons, like to keep me from having to find a way to remove the red shoulder patch and the turtle neck of the body suit. Granted, the red patch would be covered by the shirt, but the turtle neck would be harder to hide. (Had this gone on to be my friend, I'd have carved the turtle neck into a bone choker necklace with an arrow head in the front. Native American style)
After the upper torso was enhanced, I painted it flesh colour. I then made the shirt out of Green Stuff so it could be detailed and hang off of her more realistically.
The shoulder holster is made up of the thigh holster from a Shipwreck and the strap is made up of part of the Ice Viper's harness that you'll see was cut up for Zandar below. I changed it up from the original a bit as the strap came up from her belt, to the holster, over her shoulder then dissappeared under her shirt. It didn't hook up anyplace else. Her double belt is from clone Wars Aurra Sing.
As you can see, the only thing I am missing is a suitable head. If I can find one, I'm going to use a Helix head, unless one of you fine folks has another suggestion.
I'm heading out in the next day or two to get some paint for the shirt and other details.

Here's Zandar:
He's pretty simple. He's made up of PoC Zartan. I love the sun tanned/burned tone of Zartan's skin and that seemed like it might be kind of cool for Zandar, just to seperate him a bit from his siblings. Thankfully Zartan is bald so using yet more Green Stuff for hair worked out nicely.
The straps across his chest are from an Ice Viper's harness. The remnants of that harness were used for Zarana's shoulder holster and for his headband. I just need to find a suitable holster.
I plan on using some paint for the markings on his chest and face. I'll be painting his knee pads and arm bands. If I can come across a set of Zartan arms, I'll use the upper arms for the armor piecs, though, I've never understood how the pieces stayed in place since he's not wearing a shirt or anything besides the shoulder holster.
There's a few bow and arrow sets out there that I think would look really cool with him too.

This is just for fun, a neat little, but effective, very LBC:

Some great WIPs, i'm liking the Twins, to bad you couldn't find a harness that is opposite, so they would be more accurate, excellent stuff, get-r-done :-P

Are Zandar and Zarana supposed to be twins? I did not know that...

Some very interesting designs here.

For Tomax and Xamot, I think you could get away with them not having holsters of any kind. Give them each a MARS briefcase (for the warheads) in opposite hands.

If you could also carve out the designs of the warheads from inside, you might be able to put two pistols inside. Call them dueling pistols since they usually can as a matching set...that goes with the twin thing.

Zandar and Zarana are off to a great start (hate Zarana's head right now :) ), although I was really intrigued at where you were going with the Goth Chick. I really hope you keep at that one because that was unique and showed something different.

Using the PoC Zartan figure as Zandar is awesome. It resembles the ARAH version of Zandar already.

OK, here some progress on Zarana and Zandar.
I sacrificed the head of my only Helix figure for this simply becuase I want to get this custom done nad since I'd already mixed the paint for the shirt, I didn't want it to go to waste or try to match it later for the hair. I did add a bit more red to mix for the hair so it's a bit darker than the shirt as well as adding some red high-lites.
Her shoulder holster's strap sat sorta weird so I cut it and refitted and glued it in place. I also painted the knife sheath and knee pads. The figure has a weird tear(?) in the pants on her left thigh and I couldn't quite figure out what that was all about so I just painted the cargo pouch to match her shirt. I also painted her gloves red and touched up the black of her gauntlets.
I need to touch up the paint and seal it and think I'm about done with her.

I painted Zandar's hair orange, but I may redo it for a bit of a brighter shade.
Since the face has the same facial tattoos that Zartan does, I outlined them in red, just to change it up a bit and added the tattoos to his chest. I painted his boots and knee pads brown so they be closer to the original figure.

Lemme know watcha think.

I like what you've done with them thus far. I know from your first post that you weren't initially intending to use a Helix head for Zarana, but really I've got no problem with that. It works really well for an updated Zarana (at least in my opinion). I like what you've done with Zandar's hair, but he's just still got too much of a PoC Zartan vibe for me. Just as a suggestion, the second version of the 25th Zartan (with the little Chameleon swamp skier) has those nice shoulder pads that would be a great nod to the original Zandar and maybe try switching out a Tomax or Xamot set of lower arms. Switching off the arms will give you the advantage of breaking up the pieces a little more so it doesn't look so much like the PoC Zartan. I don't know how much more work you've got planned for him but I think those simple changes (plus some paint matching since the parts I mentioned don't match PoC Zartan's skin tone) will really help make your Zandar his own figure.

I've got that 25th Zartan, but I'm not willing to sacrifice him just for his upper arms right now though. I thought about chenging his arms out like you suggest, but the paint matching is my problem and even if I could match the colour, it's the way it's applied. I'd never get it to blend and fade the way it does on his chest. If I can get ahold of a set of Zartan arms, I'll cut the shoulder armor of and afix it to his upper arms. I've added a pit more paint here and there to take away from his head looking like Zartan's.
I have this same Zartan, but the version that has Arnold Vosloo's head. I thought about using that head, but I think that head is just too cool to mod. I may take my regular Zartan and swap his head for Vosloo's so there's a difference in their heads. This pic shows their likness. Especially in the nose.

The paint tweaks to the Zartan arms for Zandar make a big difference. I wasn't sure how WIP that one was which is why I suggested the arm change, but really just switching up the color helps make him look less like the PoC Zartan. I thought about suggesting an RoC Zartan head switch but figured since you did so much work sculpting the other one, that wouldn't be the best suggestion, but if you're thinking about giving your Zartan the RoC head, that will probably adress my other concerns. The family looks really good in that most recent pic you posted. Very cool.
