Anyone know of some good generic looking 1:18 scale female anime heads? I want to sculpt the hair without having to remove too much. Have to look right on an MU Mary Jane figure. Slightly larger would be okay, but not smaller. Most of the Microman heads are unsuiatble, and ones like the Evangelion figs are getting rather pricy.

If you go to Ebay and type in 'Gashapon' into the Stores search engine, you will find tons of sets of 3.5" to 4" Japanese characters. They are static figures but I've been buying them and using the heads for years. Make sure they are 3.5" or 4" though as I've bought sets in which the figures were only 2" tall so the heads were useless for 3 3/4" customs.

Thanks. I tried that yesterday and got several thousand results. Might be able to get to a specialist store on Saturday, so i will have a look there, and fall back on Ebay if necessary.

HLJ had a bunch of stuff that might be what you need on sale. Don't be shy about asking them for clarification. They ain't always got the quickest turnaround due to being on the other side of the planet, but they will come thru with some answers worth getting.

If you DO go the gashapon route, which I cannot recommend enough, I will happily take the headless bodies off your hands. I love trying to make use of those random left over parts. It's a fun challenge.
