I went out at lunch to try and find these. Luckily, I found one Hiss and one Stinger (and four each of the other two) in bashed boxes. According to the lady when I checked out, someone had came in earlier and bought 5 each. I'd like to think someone from a board bought them for those who can't find them. But, considering a set in bashed boxes were left, I get the feeling there's going to be a bunch of these showing up on eBay from Tucson.

Still, I'm happy to get what I got. That, and a neon yellow shirt for work. Gotta love Ross.

I may actually have to AVOID Ross. I'd love to get one more each of the HISS and Stinger, but my finances are pretty poor this month.

Holy crap... I just used their store locator and there is one of these five minutes from my house!

I might actually be able to get a Sky Hawk, FLAK, and Stinger!

Scored a pair of Stingers for myself, and another pair plus a HISS, FLAK/'CLAW" (quotes because it sucks in comparison to the real CLAW), and a SkyHawk for Liftoff. Man, Liftoff's a greedy bastid.

After i read this thread and ate supper i went up to my local Ross store and there they was, just 1 of each though, so i had to get them and at $8.99 each...oh man it was a steal, so i finally got my Cobra Stinger i have been wanting for soooooooooo long, plus i got the Artic HISS and the Flak cannon/CLAW set to, i also noticed they restocked the Joe and Cobra TRU 5 packs, if the 5 packs are there payday, i might get them.

At $9 a pop, these are a good deal. Just shows what a bum deal $7+ for individual figures are!

I doubt these are mysterious lost containers, simply because this happens with regularity. A few months ago we had the impossible-to-find (in many areas) 25th waves showing up at Big Lots.

One thing Hasbro has proven again and again is that they simply cannot read the market. At all. This is probably the worst prediction-to-actuals ratio I have ever seen from a major company. (Besides MOTUC, but that is almost deliberate). Thus we had underproduced product when the "collectors line" hit in the late 90s, followed by overproduced new sculpt, followed by waaaaaay underproduced 25, then waaaaay overproduced movie stuff.
I don't know if they have inhouse analysts or they hire a marketing firm to predict numbers, but whoever is doing it they sure aren’t earning their bloated pay!

So I went to the 2 Ross's close to me and didn't find anything. Zero evidence they were ever there in the first place.

Stopped by a Ross tonight they had a flak/claw a mole pod and a scrambler cycle. I passed bit did not realize that the flak/claw was only 9 bucks. I might need to go back for that as I have been wanting another strato viper

I don't understand how these stores decide to price things. These are $9 ($15+ originally). The RoC Bravo vehicles are $13 at TJ Maxx ($25 originally). Yet the latest comic packs at Big Lots are $10, which was what they sold for originally (although that wave may have been marked up a couple of bucks).

Annnnnd nothing

All they had was those huge robot suit Duke thingys from the movie. The ones that make way too much noise when you push the button.

So my 26 year quest to get a shiny new Sky Hawk and Stinger continues...
