I won't run another poll necessarily, but when I made Yelena and took this picture next to Ms. Romanova, I realized I no longer like the head/hair of my Black Widow I.

One - the hair. I really thought I needed that Cover Girl hair (and Chief hooked me up), because I wanted to match the wind-blown look from the MU card art. To some extent I'm still proud of the head and hair both, in terms of likeness to that image. But when you puy together a custom that isn't merely a one-shot, the wind-blown look ends up about as useful as the screaming faced figures.

I initially didn't like the bangs look of the MU hair, but I've seen some nice BW customs lately that simply changed the head/face, and it started to grew on me. When I looked close at the pics of my two Widows together, I realized that the Padme head was too small, at least in comparison to Yelena's SW Shira Brie head. Also, the paint job, while I was happy with it initially, now seems too cartoony to me.

Finally, the head I started with got a lot of attention for some various resemblances, but I think I like this new one which is a bit less "pretty" but perhaps much more realistic?

Anyway, thoughts? Preferences?

The way she looked originally:

I like the new head, better. It's more proportional to the body, and the hair isn't caught in some eternal wind storm.

First off, the parts and paint on both are awesome, but especially the red head. I can see what you mean about the windblown hair, but I think I'd pick that head over the other one, which is also a bit small, and seems to sit a little too high on the neck peg which makes it look like she's staring downward in the pics. I'd lower it a bit and try to hollow it out more so she can look straight ahead. That might be tricky with the hair though.

You're right about it riding high. I had it hollowed out a bit more but it started to ride higher up, in part because the hair pushed it up.

Looks much better squished into proper position, and I may need to use the hot glue again to keep it in that slot. Once my camera charges, I'll retake the pics.

Definitely like the MU hair much better than the Cover Girl hair. I'm not a fan of windswept, preposed anything as it limits the figure to that particular movement or circumstance.

Just lower the head on the neck a little bit and you've got a winner.

Definitely the new one. Looks significantly more hard-edged and badass than the old.

The new head screams. Also, the way she has the angle of her head does make her look more menacing.

Another extremely spankable kudos D.

I like the new head better, too -- it's more proportional, and the hair style says old school Natasha to me --

the new head isn't as pretty but the hair does say Natasha more than the windblown CG's. Nice paint apps on it forsure though, what is the base head?

thanks for the confirmation of what I was thinking guys. Tim, I agree the new one isn't as pretty but I thinks she makes up for it in attitude. The base head is ROC Scarlett (the ponytail version).

I think I also have the neck the right height now. It's a subtle change, but I think it's enough:
