Yes, the hottie Amy Pond.

No story yet, not until I get more of this project done. But I was very pleased with how this came out (for now at least) and wanted to share. I'm not yet 100% on the likeness of the head, but it's the best I can do for now. I like the head (Kitty Pryde's w/ Baroness hair), just not sure it fits here yet.

Dang she is impressive, from the sculpt work to the clothing. Rockage cubed D.

You know, I tried that head hair combination, but on the same Baroness hair but trimmed to almost a bob cut. Interesting how different the faces can be depending on the length of hair. Hmm.

That must be a different type of TARDIS, because my Dapol one doesn't have that nice weathered look like yours does.

Looks most excellent, but the hair color doesn't feel right. Karen Gillian's a lot more ginger than that.

The head works very well. In fact the whole figure is just about spot on. I agree with Jay, though, the hair needs to be more of a copper colour.

Very cool! My only crit is the big jugs, but I guess there's nothing you can do about that. Maybe in the new series she'll have implants haha.

Nice custom, but still doesn't make me like Amy Pond. My least favorite companion ever. Being cute only gets you so far.

Thanks for looking fellas.

Cap - that TARDIS is a plastic bank that Marcus nabbed for me overseas. I love it. The scale is perhaps not technically 100% accurate, but when I looked at pics of the characters next to the TARDIS in this past season, it's remarkably close.

Jay and Kam - I agree with you guys that the hair isn't right yet. My early attempts at what I view the right color to be just didn't look natural enough. I'll keep at that part.

Marcus - agree on the jugs. lol. But I was using the MU base, and for some reason the coat and paint apps really seem to accentuate the girls. They are not modded to be larger, and I really didn't feel like modding smaller either. Also, the actress is fairly tall, so I didn't really want to go away from the MU mold, and it was a cleaner slate to customize from as well.

John, and Will thank you. I was trying to some extent to have this look close to the larger scale figures that are out, so that is appreciated.

Oh, and Sean - just imagine that this is Mary Jane Watson then... :-D

Very nice. Female customs are always more impressive to begin with since parts selection is much smaller. This is a good likeness. Very nice work on this fig. I'm soooo excited about next season I'm loving the new Doc and his companion.

Thanks Rob - agreed on looking forward to the next season, and to the Christmas special before then.

While I've been a fan of the relaunch of Who from the start and I loved the Tennant seasons, the Smith run has been my favorite thus far. And while I agree that her hairs not ginger enough, she still screams Amy Pond to me. And to my 5 year old, who my wife showed the picture to at home. He recognized her right away and asked where the Doctor was. Now get cracking on the Doctor and how the both fit in with the rest of your universe.

Man, the likeness is really good, to the point that I think I could have guessed who it was out of context. Have you done other DW stuff before or is this your first? Any plans for Matt Smith?

I had to look this up, as I've never seen Doctor Who. :-(

That's definitely a good likeness of the actress-- which is to say that it conveys a certain natural beauty.

Indeedy, D. Another knockout, and very nicely done.
