I was using some leftover resin to test out some new and repaired SNAKE molds I had recently completed, and before long I had an almost complete SNAKE, so I went ahead and finished it off. The final color was a kind of sandy yellow, so I molded the hand attachments in brown and called it the Desert Operation SNAKE.

Very nice. Paint a little tan and brown camo on it and you've got a real winner.

Yes, very nice.

I don't know that the camo is needed. Just paint some of the detail, like the visor, and maybe some sand wear on the joints and you can call it good.

you should fill some of your voids, but then you should also give some of your voids some 'battle damage' --

i like what you're doing here!

I likes, but i agree with the others about some paint, maybe a wash to bring out the details. I like the decals you put on and i think you forgot the visor ?

Awesome. I'm cujrious what the brown and sand would have looked liked swirled together for this.

Cool. But indeed, paint the visor and add a little brown / tan camo here and there would perfect it.

Pretty darn nifty. I can't imagine the work that goes into casting, so I'm always impressed. I like the idea of SNAKEs for different environments, but I do agree about dirtying it up a bit, so it looks like it just popped up outta the sand to ambush Dusty or something.

You need to get food grade casting materials and sell chocolate and white chocolate snakes!

Or better yet, salt and pepper shakers.

Very nice. Just one suggestion: paint silver in the cast air "bubbles" to make it look like bullet marks instead of a flaw from the cast.

I'd take some steel wool and rub it down to give it a worn look

I build plastic models, so I have tried many things and I personally think there is better ways to achieve a worn out finish, as steel wool would just scratch it and in my opinion note make it look good.
Here are some things thaat may be worth a try on this(these are very good tutorials and what he does is used by plastic modelling pros) :

I would only due a wash of a mixture of burnt umber and black(about 85 to 95% burnt umber) and light drybrushing in a sany color, or maybe tamiya dark yellow with a little bit of a san color.
