Here's a custom I made for Viper for a contest. He wanted a Hellboy hero or villain. I didn't want to retread any ground so I made something I haven't tackled before. Having the big figure helped as reference.

Alien -

Fan-Freakin'-Tastic, Marcus!

That is drop dead gorgeous, I think I'm a little jealous of Viper.

Very cool work mate, you should send all the pics of your Hellboy customs to Mezco and tell them we want our Hellboy toys in 1:18th. scale and it's possible, but then you wouldn't have much to make then.... :-/

Seriously awesome job.

It's an awesome figure, even more impressive in person. Marcus certainly knocked it out of the park & I got a character I didn't previously know about. Much win.

I don't know what you guys are talking about - that's not an action figure...

It's a work of freaking art. Hot damn, that's awesome!

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

I always liked Alien. He was sent to kill Hellboy in order to save the world from the apocolypse, but witnessed HB be a hero and found he couldn't do it. He's in my favourite HB story - the conquerer worm.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hellboy:_Conqueror_Worm

The whole figure is black Spidey apart from the hands - one is a MkVI IM, and the other is Zartan.

The pipes on his back are PotF2 Sandtrooper rifle barrels. They are identical to the big figure.

I completely sculpted the head. I usually absolutely suck at heads, but this turned out ok. I made the eyes a bit bigger by accident, but made the neck bolts bigger because I thought they looked more alien-y.

The weapon is from Broken Arrow toys with the end bit sculped on.

The shoulderpad is attched with a twist tie drilled in so it can move freely and not hinder movement.
The whole thing is 100% playable.

This does not fail to impress. Marcus your work was topnotch as always. Viper has to be proud to have this in his collection.

I like him a lot especially the weapon. I wish you would have sculpted over the abs though. It is the only thing that sticks out to me. Probably because you did such a phenomenal job on everything else.

Heh, I'm kinda embarassed now I've got the figure he sent me. The Alien is tiny by comparison.
