FIELD REPORT: Encoded level 1 priority.

Operative: BEACH HEAD -Counter intelligence specialist

Location: Baardheere, Somalia Date/time: 11/08/2010 06:32

Mission:
Investigation of jungle near Baardheere. Sources indicated Cobra activity with in the area. Further investigation led to camp aprox 22km S>S>E Baardheere.

Observation:
What appears to be field test of new weapons and vehicles. Night recon got me close enough to see some of there equipment. I was able to capture an image of the primary vehicle. Attached image encoded: CX-11518.

Was unable to get detailed analysis of weapons systems and capability, but all indication are vehicle is weapons ready.

Recommendations:
Pre-emptive strike advisable. This sucker is big, and in my opinion is a serious threat to local government stability and world security. Why else would Cobra set up shop in an unstable region like this?

Additional comments:
Visual analysis of the vehicles structure has me alarmed. Look familiar to any one? I think we may have a mole or our security has been breached on the mainframe, because this looks to much like the prototype M.C.S.V. Further analysis of the image I’ve sent should confirms this.

END TRANSMMISION>>

...more to come...

Yeah, nice presentation!
I can't wait to see the result. It looks promising: Rolling Thunder combined with the MCC.

I also love the presentation. Better pics and effects are something I'd love to get better at.

But also looking forward to the item itself.

Looking forward to see what You've done here.

My initial reaction is that I wish you'd have cut one floor from the MCC...with the Rolling Thunder cabin so low it really makes the "Hump" look huge.

2nd though is that It'd be cool if you set this up like the ROCC or a Semi truck..so the front can go off fighting leaving the trailer behind as a base.

Very intriguing stuff, and I am certainly looking forward to the big reveal of that vehicle. It looks like it could be quite cool, indeed.

I absolutely have to appreciate your presentation here though, as well. Outstanding job on that one, brother.

Another sneak peek. This one's less interesting on the post side but more on the picture side.

When I started to design this I had planned to make the front portion of the RT swivel or remove, like a giant Mean Dog (another of my favourite vehicles) but I couldn't work out the mechanics so I opted for this design. As for removing a level, you gave me a sleepless night with that one, I racked my brain on weather or not to do it, I did like the idea of bringing down the "hump" but I opted to stick with my original design.

That's what I love about these forums, creative minds coming together sharing ideas.

I really like this. Seems much more practical than the original MCC. It would be cool if the MCC could be removed from the General , sorta like nova's suggestion.

There's always the next one...

I'm not feeling the color...(Maybe Stickers will help) It looks like a good-guy color...and you said this was a cobra vehicle. Even if it's a vehicle cobra stole, the 1st thing Cobra Commander always does is cobra-fy it...See the Conquests in Operation Dragonfire, or the NAC to CCC in Spy Troops.

I think I'd try switching out the Gun-chairs on the corners for something more Cobra-ish...I'm drawing a blank on what vehicle parts to suggest...but I think anything would be better than those chairs.

The pictures don't do the colour justice, I know that Cobra would traditionally go with something like dark blue or purple or even grey but for two reasons I choose this colour. One I wanted to modernize it a bit, bring a little more realism to it ( as realistic as a 3 story tank can be) and two where I live I don't have access to a decent selection of flat spray paints and I'm not a fan of gloss so this was the best choice. Maybe I'll do a repaint sometime or as you said there's always the next one.

As for the chairs, funny you mentioned that, I spent a lot of time trying to fabricate something more along the lines of the gatling turrets like Hog for Halo, but in the end I couldn't come up with anything decent. However if you look carefully at the turret chairs from a RT they actually look like a cobras hood. I might repaint the light grey and add a few more cobra-esk colour highlights. And yes some Cobra decals will definetly help.

That is a very ambitious and creative undertaking. I can't wait to see more pics with troops en force. Any thoughts on decals yet?
