After looking at several of ya'lls' futuristic figures, I decided to make a couple of my own. Here goes, and let me know what you think...
Pendulum
This battle hardened Marine Sergeant patrols the skies over his former home, the city of Chicago, which was leveled in the first wave of attacks. After days... weeks... months of being alone, Pendulum thought he was going mad... that is until he found an unexpected "friend" (if thats what you call it) in A.A.R.Un (Armored Android Responder Unit, also called Aarun), a warbot created to fight off the attacking hordes that wiped out the majority of the US and its people. Now very few people remain in the Chicago area, and Pendulum has taken it upon himself to unite them, or die trying; Aarun will fight at Pendulum's side, seeing him as the last, or at least one of the last, of those "he" was made to protect.
Pendulum wears armor that is made of an alloy which is super strong, but also light weight, which makes it possible for him to fly and move about with unbelievable speed and flexiblity; his battle axe is made from the same alloy, making it easy for him to swing one-handed, yet it has the razor sharpness to cut through other metals like a hot knife through butter!
On a side note: since finding Aarun, Pendulum has found a few of the survivors of Chicago, and has since started moving them West, trying to get them to Denver, one of the few cities he has had contact with other people. Eventually, his goal is to get to California, where the resistance is rumored to be gathering....
A.A.R.Un
A.A.R.Un is short for Armored Android Responder Unit, a prototype that was created to fight off the superior strength and weaponry of the invaders who were conquering the US; however, he was only one, and his creator was eliminated before anymore units could be made. Left in stasis, Aarun was never field tested, although he had been fully programmed for the purpose of war.
When the man known as Pendulum found Aarun, he turned the defunct android on in a last, deperate attempt to save himself from three drones that were hunting for and had stunned him. To his surprise, Aarun took out the drones, making short work of the trio, who didn't have a chance to call for back up. When Aarun turned to face Pendulum, wanting to make sure he was unharmed, the man stood paralyzed, thinking that he would be the android's next target; however, Aarun stopped and stood at what appeared to be attention, seeming to wait for a command from the man. Pendulum picked up on this right away, and simply told him, "Follow me." Aarun has been doing so ever since.
After his awakening, Aarun's learning program kicked in, making him in some ways like a child, who is constantly wanting to know more about his creator and his own existence. Pendulum does his best to educate him, collecting any form of material with historical records or significance to help fill the android's memory banks. In addition to learning about Earth's history, Aarun has learned about battle strategies, fighting styles, and weaknesses in the bodies of just about every living creature known to man; if you're on the wrong side of a fight with him, you will lose...
