Howdy, all;

I've been steadily bashing the disappointing TRON: Legacy figs onto better bodies, and the latest MU "Bleeding Edge' Iron Man (officially called the Modular Armor) makes for a great base body, imho. Here I've bashed Rinzler's head and calves onto the IM fig, and swapped in some PoC FireFly hands (the cuffs extend the too-short IM forearms). After cracking the Rinzler fig and extracting the back post that activates the light-up feature, I trimmed it a bit and drilled a hole in IM's back to glue the post in place. It's a convenience that Spin Masters made the ID discs fit nicely on it. I've also carved out the outer portion of Rinzler's thigh armor where his 'sticks' attach (altho I left the sticks at home for fear of losing them - this pic's taken here at work). I've also added in one of PoC3 SE's sword scabbards by drilling out the blue light on IM's hip a bit, and the peg fits nicely.

I post this because the way I'll be adding the TL figs into my 'verse means I'll have to show them off as a group, and that's unlikely to be any time soon. Maybe some of you will want to copy this IM-bash idea so I tell you about it while the getting's good.

That's a nice start.

I like what I see. If those figures weren't 13 bucks a pop here I'd do something like this.

I don't give a damn about Tron but that looks really nice so far, that's definitely an appropriate body choice to replace the "LASER BLAST" bodies the Spinmaster figures have.

I picked up a Black Guard to give this a go.

Looking forward to this.

I recommend glow-in-the-dark paints for the neons. Just a thought.

I've painted him up, but I'm not real happy with him. The orange wash effect makes him look more like a low-burning cinder than a glowy Grid program. I can take a pic or two tonite if you really want it.

Okey dokey, then. Gimme another 10 hours to get home, dig him up out of whatever WIP-pile he's in, and toss pics up. I'll throw in the other Tron WIPs, too; as I doubt I'll be done with them any time soon.

Yeah, I'd like to at least check it out too.

Sorry for dropping the ball here, gents. I got a box of some [LASER BLAST]' sweet HCM Pro Gundams from HLJ the day before y-day and have been playing with them since. *GREAT* damned figs, get some before they're all gone!

Anyway, I remembered I owe y'all some more pics of Rinzy and snagged him on the way out the door this morning and here's a couple phone pics. My work computer is really dark so I can't tell if he looks like a big black blob because he looks like a big black blob or if the monitor's just crummy, so lemme know if I need to take more better pics once I get home.

I see what you were driving at with the orange. You were correct, it does need to be brighter, but that's shaping up quite nicely.
