WIP: Battlefield 2142 EU Assault Trooper

Started working on this when I realised what that odd, sci-fi-looking gun that Paris Pursuit Baroness and Pursuit of Cobra Beachead came with is.

Obviously, I have rather a long way to go (the contours of the body armour are driving me particularly crazy), but apart from the feet from the Tron Legacy Clu figure, I've got most of the base pieces I need together now (thanks, drbindy!) and I managed to get the front plate of the body armour to overlap the torso joint without losing any flexibility, so that's two hurdles down.

pretty neat looking figure, the only part I dislike is the lower legs

I ended up picking them because they seemed to be the only middle ground I could find of that type of lower leg style (trousers over boots) between PoC Snowjob (too thick) and RoC Storm Shadow (too thin).

I'm going to be modifying them though. The feet are going to go as soon as I can get my hands on some Clu feet, and the trouser bottoms should eventually, hopefully, look like this fellow's:

that's a nice likeness, and a really sharp looking figure shaping up, even if the likenessweren't so good.

Is the head a ROC Duke that you sculpted over? If not, I can't place it. Good eye on the gun too.

That looks like it will be amazing. Although I don't like the modern era style stuff, your sculpting is amazing. This figure makes me think modern salvo after seeing the screenshots.

You're off to a great start. The chest armor came out really good so all of the trouble was worth it.

Good eye yourself, by the way. ;-)

That is indeed a RoC Duke I sculpted the helmet over. I chose it mainly because it was a fleshtone head that fitted the base body I was using fairly well, though now that I look at it, it actually resembles the face of the EU soldier from the game to some degree, heh.

Never played the game but from the pic you supplied it looks dead on. Love the sculpting/additions youve made.

Is that collar greenstuff?

You have to give him a weapon like the one in the pic.

And in fact, I reckon the last Duke that was out- the "Desert Battle" one - has those missile launchers that would work for that, IMO
