It's been about forever and a day since I've posted anything.

Just playing around with a Junker Awe Striker parts. I Just unmasked the body tonight. I love the look, but the Lable stickers I used to make the paint masks out of didn't come off too well...now I've got a bit of Sticky clean up to do, then paint a few other parts, and then Stickers.

This one is a Project I've been Working on for quite a while. One of the first projects I wanted to do and teach myself how to cast to reproduce it. This O-ring mod is needed for at least half a dozen Figure projects I've got in mind.

Here's an Earlier WIP pic I've not shown before
Image

At this point I've got a few tweaks left to make and then I'll be ready to cast. Anybody have recommendations for getting a really nice smooth finish? Any specific products? or do I just need to get a bunch of sand paper in progressively finer grits.

8-O

I'm gonna need one of them E. Hondas. Fantastic work on that.

I'll add 8-O as well. And I need one also. Impressive undertaking to do the o-ring mod on a figure that sorely needed it.

Sand paper in finer grits will do the job just fine. You can also get some sanding pads.

My plan is to cast the new Parts (Torso, Waist, and Thighs) I used a Visionaries figure in my build out of his articulation. So Eventually I'll be able to take the Cast parts + a vintage E Honda, and the Screws and T Hook from a Visionaries figure and create a Generic "Fat Guy Buck"...I've got a lot of ideas using this base, including self customs... Heads and Arms from Visionaries figures will also work, with a little bit of modification to allow for a little bit more Fatty Diversity.

Here's an even earlier WIP that shows where I started with the Visionaries parts.

I suppose I should study more fat people..but is his ass too big, or body + waist too Egg shaped?

IMHO, he doesn't seem to big, looks just about right, also the added height is great.

I think i might have a Visionarie figure laying around for when you cast the parts up. I can see a King Pin custom, that's why i kept my Honda figure.

Cool work Nova.

That awe striker is awesome, and great work on the E. Honda! What color green did you use on the awe(and was it a spray or airbrush job?) Thanks!

Outstanding job. A Kingpin would be awesome.

I think the fault lies with Hasbro here. That torso is twice as wide as a normal RAH sculpt but no longer. On a real person of that size the gut would hang over the waist line offsetting the distorted appearance of the torso being as wide as it is tall.

Think Preston Lacy from Jackass or Peter Griffin.

Once you get that big you either let the gut hang over the pants or you pull the pants up over the gut. I think this is perfect for the latter style which gives more play for customizing.

I don't think his ass is too big. If you were going for absolute authenticity, it might not be saggy enough...

But nobody wants to see this become that authentic.

Great job though. Mods like this always impress me - where you aren't just changing parts, but creating new ones.
