Oh yeah, the deck will get painted and it will be crosshatched, and so will the tower. I printed out blueprints off yojoe and colored them in with colored pencils to get an idea of what it will look like. I did the same trick with the Defiant so I knew what it would look like before I painted it. It will work out, I have some ideas to break up the crosshatched
areas. I will take some pics of the blueprints for a little preview.

once this awesome project is done you totally need to do a sky patrol flagg...lol!

One thing that might make sense (is the purpose of Python Patrol to make sense or just to look really cool?) would be to lay the Pythonizing down on the deck but leave the actual runways clear.

What are you going to name it? A project this grand must have a name!

I was thinking along the lines of this is a sister ship to the FLAGG the military was building to help expand the Joe team. Cobra got wind of it and stole the new ship and is now vying for naval supremacy over the Joe team.

Here are some more pics, I got a little more done in the last couple of days.

I do need some help with one thing. I would like to get a yellow cobra signia about the size of the large one on top of the Terrordrome. I asked cobrastickers.com about custom decals and I asked jruben awhile back, neither of them do custom decals. I need to find someone who can do it on the good clear vinyl. I would be willing to pay for it of course. Now on to the pics:


I printed these blueprints off of yojoe.com and colored them in to help me get a better idea of what works and what doesnt and how it will look when its done. I did the same thing for the Python Defiant before I painted it. You can also see the measurements of the landing stripe I am going to use to mask and paint them on.


Here is the lower stern, and dont freak out, the rail and radar antenna are repros.


Here is the finished support structure with bow and stern. I dont plan on using the original spine, thats why its not painted. Its too flexible and the paint would chip and flake off. So I ordered some black polystyrene online which I will use to build a custom spine that wont need paint.


Missile launcher with missiles.


Adding a little python pattern to the side of the structure. This is a pretty simple meshing, just taped it in place so I can spray on a little silver paint.
