I don't think so. Most building blocks are made from pine, being the cheapest wood. Richard, the Hasbro designer who showed us how to do this, specifically said to use a hard wood, which pine isn't.

Why is it I see many figures being destroyed over this?

Hi!
I'm new here and I'm from sweden so please don't get mad at me if I spell something wrong :-D

Have any of you tried this method with 25th Gung Ho?
Did it work?
I'm haveing a hard time placeing him over the wooden block with the torso slightly tilted,
It doesn't have the same amount of torso movement as figures like CC and Storm Shadow, I don't know if mine is stuck and I don't dare to force it to much, they don't sell Gi Joe in sweden so it will take time for me to get a new one...

Hey Mille. Welcome to Joecustoms. I have not dared to touch Gung Ho for the very same reasons: Too complicated to get a new one.
Good to see a "local" in here btw :D

I split Gung Ho, like I mentioned earlier in this thread. I just turned the top half perpendicular to the bottom half and then put the figure over a block of wood like everyone is explaining, and hit him with a mallet. He split on the second hit, only because I was too scared to hit him hard enough on the first hit.
