The only thing that bugs me is that they all have that Rock Viper mustache issue which makes an army of them not look right. Cool design adn the fact you made more than one looks even cooler. I guess I'd modify the other two so they don't look exactly alike.

Hey JM - the spray paint doesn't freeze up the joints, does it? I've had that problem when spraying parts before (mainly on the arms, since I can't disassemble the "swivel grip".)

And they do kinda look like cheese sculptures, but cheese rocks, so that just adds to the coolness factor :P

i spray paint whenever i can. Flat's and Satin's work well. Gloss is thick. Sometimes I have problems with joints scraping, as I do with acrylics, but never freezing.

These are very cool, great choice on the parts. I would have liked to see the face plates with the mesh cover instead of the open face plate, but It's your verse and you'll do what you want to.

i've had that problem numerous times as well -- one little tip to avoid the noid is to run an exacto around the joint before attempting to move it. another problem i get is that the primer/paint build up will make the leg hole too small for the knee peg, and i fix that by running a drill bit through the hole and/or scraping the primer and paint from the knee peg. I should also throw a note in here that quite often <if i'm using a base coat of spraypaint> i will also spray the interior of the torso & thighs just in case the seams don't quite come together perfectly.

the final thing i should note is that i don't really 'play' with my customs -- they are display pieces, so i really can't speak to the durability of spray-painted pieces/customs for active use.

what brand?! All the ones I find are pale/pastel yellows!

for better or worse, here's what i used:

Rustoleum Painter's Touch Sandable Primer (white)

Rustoluem Gloss Protective Enamel (sunburst yellow)

cheap grey acrylic (took 3-4 coats) white, brown & black

clear coated it with:
Minwax Polycrylic Clear Satin
(my new favorite, but kinda pricey at $8 a can)
