Not the one you'd expect. I have had it in mind to make a throne like the cartoon. Several people have done it and it looks pretty good... but then I saw one in a Masters of the Universe role play rule book. I liked the stone ideas with the skulls on the arm rests. It set it aside and just looked better to me. So i made that:

It's all using the regular plastic I use on my various projects. I just glued up pieces and carved in the stone detail. I used a Scareglow to model the skull heads and did a basic cast/sculpt job. The one by it's self just has the back busted off so it looks like a skull from someone Skeletor zapped in the back of the head.

This was just a project I wanted to do as a warm up before I got back going on my bases. After my car wreck I wasn't able to do the tedious work with my hands of cutting stuff out and carving. As I'm getting better, this was something to help get my back in the swing of things and a project I had on the back burner anyway. It's just hard to figure an easy way for Skeletor to sit down.

Very nice. The texturing is on the money.

That is how the seat of a Evil Lord of Destruction should look, I can easily imagine Skeletor insulting his crew while relaxing on that throne.

The skeletal frame throne might be more iconic, but there is something to be said for how clean and simple looking yours is. Since it doesn't overshadow the figure it works especially well for a display.

The hardest part was deciding the paint. I kept going back and forth on making it a stone gray or Skull Mountain purple. Then there were the skulls. Going off the black and white, you could imagine them being carved details in the throne and out of stone, or actual skulls. Being Skeletor and who a lot of us think of him to be, it just seemed more natural to be mounted real skulls. So I set off with that in mind. Then the switch to Skull Mountain Purple came after I had painted it gray. It just didn't look like a Skeletor throne without that. Plus it really needed that cartoon look since a lot of us have come to have that in mind for accessories.

Thanks for the comments! It's always appreciated!
