G. I. Joe in Metairie, La.

This morning, I visited Two K-Marts and Two Wal-Marts after nine months from my last visits to see the Joe situation down here. Neither store chain had Joes at all. They had plenty of Captain America, Star Wars, Green Latern , Thor, and Transformer figures. Neither chain had Corps. figures, either. Only Target and ToysRUs have Joes but they've been reduced down to four pegs at both stores and have old waves that aren't selling unless I buy them. This has me concerned about ever receiving new figures in Metairie. Also, I've heard that K-Mart had a sale on Captain America figures a month ago although they had no figures whatsoever to sell. Does anyone else live in Louisiana and have this problem finding Joes?

Although i don't live in Louisiana, many people here can't find them at retail either, my suggestion is put up a Wants thread and also if you want to maybe post what your store does have, some people might want those figures and you can start Trading or Buy & Sell. ;-)

I live in Baton Rouge. Target and Toys R Us are the only options for Joes right now, and Target has had the same three Arctic Destros on the pegs for the last (it seems like) three months, nothing else. All of the Wal-Marts got rid of their Joe shelf space months ago.

About three weeks ago one of the Walmarts did a reset on their toy aisle and actually set aside 10 pegs and labeled them for GI Joe, but they have yet to put any actual stock out on them. No other Wal-mart that I've been to has a Joe section at all. Same deal in Alexandria when I was up that way about a month ago.

I live in Shreveport. Up here about 2 weeks ago one of my local Wal-Marts got in a huge amount of stock for wave 6. I saw a minor amount of wave 5 last week but nothing much. Stuff has been shipping but not in much of any quantity. TRU seems to be getting the overstock of wave 3 and 4. And not full waves of either one, but the figures that sold the least. As in the "popular" Duke, Storm Shadow, and Destro.
