Haha, I can see them attempting it. Even though the movie stuff was sort of slow on the shelves last time, stores still like a "big" items when it comes to movie toys. If they made a Flagg like the Pit playset, it could work and only be in the $100 range. Something like what the original was but even more streamlined. It's no telling what their idea was though.

I hope they don't revive that crap "Flagg" they showed in those lost pics.

If they make a Flagg with the eye to have it as an option to remold as a HeliCarrier for the Avengers movies, that would certainly bring down the recoup costs for it since the initial molding costs would be projected across at least 2 movies, if not more.

The Flagg is neat looking and all, but really it's too big. I've got one and some times wish I didn't- just takes up too much space.

I'm really glad they're leaving the option open on the Data Viper. They had to have spent some serious money on the tooling, it'd a shame to let it go to waste.

Despite the fact that this is coming from Justin, whom I admire and respect tremendously, I do not find it at all reassuring and will be counting Kwinn among those we won't actually see until we see him in a package.

Hasbro has a history of saying one thing to abate/delay fan rage and doing another after they feel like we've forgotten about it.

I don't need or want a new Flagg. I didn't even notice there were bits of the Flagg in any of the SDCC pictures.

Now that would be cool. I doubt I'd get a Flagg, but I'd get a HeliCarrier. My current Flagg only serves as vehicle storage as it is.

Different point of view for the why, but I agree with the end result. I don't think this is damage control spin, I think this is a matter of wanting to get the product out there while balancing it with actual retailer demand. If the current waves sell strong, we'll see these TBA ones later. If not we'll get them some other way other than mass retail. We've seen too many "canceled" items show up in some form later recently. But it certainly doesn't look good that these waves don't have hard dates attached for release yet.

It was one thing when Renegades packaged figures were hitting right after the cartoon was cancelled. Now they will be getting released months later when everyone has moved on and forgotten about Renegades entirely.
