Where are people finding the Mobile artillery unit and the sky raptor? i am dying to find those two, and my wal-marts don't even carry Joes, let alone Corps.

Haven't seen these since Christmas. I found them at my local Bi-Lo supermarket here in Charlotte. It was a seasonal deal in their gift/toy aisle. Not every Bi-Lo carried them, only the bigger stores did and then only two or three. I was able to get some Raptors, but have already shipped or comitted them to other guys. I did not get much interest in the Mobile Artillery Unit when I was hunting for the Raptors, and the last I went shopping, there were a few of those on clearance. Not sure if the MAU are still there as the seasonal aisle has already turned over Valentines Day and now is stocking Easter items. Both of the Raptor and MAU were limited and very hard to find.

I was digging through my iMovie archives and found an old video review of The Combat Glider. I never posted it because I thought it required reshooting but I have everything I need to edit it. Time to work! I'll be posting it very soon so stay on the lookout!

The Corps! --- Rhino Tank

Image

It's extremely difficult to find 1:18 scale tanks that not only fit 1:18 action figures but also have real working functional treads. This is the Rhino Tank and it features everything that I just stated in the previous sentence: space for figures, arsenal of weapons, and yes boys and girls --- working treads!

Image

This tank unfortunately is no longer available in stores. I'm not sure why. It's easily the best and sickest and most freaking badass tank that Lanard has EVER made for The Corps! series. This tank is f-ing awesome! Period! End of discussion.

I once saw this tank in Walmart out of the corner of my eye. I don't understand why I didn't bother looking at it and didn't buy it. I hate myself every time I remember that!

The tank features room for a driver and gunner. The main portion of the tank features four rocket missiles that swivel via a ball and socket turret and has great mobility. See that orange button? You press it and all of a sudden, these 4 badass mean looking rocket missiles start doing this POM POM action with rocket firing sounds! The rocket tips also light up!

Image

The tank features a badass camouflage paint job and if that wasn't enough, it has real working treads. So yeah it's not one of those crappy action figure tanks that has fake treads and that you can't have fun with by playing in the dirt or outdoors. No this thing is made for both indoors and outdoors. That's exactly what a tank toy should always do. To me the most important feature of a tank toy is its treads. If the treads are fake, I could care less about the tank. Heck it could have the BIGGEST turret with rapid firing missile action but if it's got fake treads, to hell with it.

There's a chance that Lanard may re-release this tank and if that happens, Battlewagon is gonna be picking up a whole army of these badass Rhino tanks! Oh yeah!

credit for this review and pictures go to Dinoviper! He's the first to ever provide an awesome review of this sick toy complete with pictures. Don't understand why no one in the whole planet ever reviewed this tank which has existed already for a good number of years. Oh well, the world is weird, that is no surprise.

Till next time with more Corps reviews! Battlewagon out!

Whispering Willie with Chopper Trike

Whispering Willie. A silly but catchy name.
ImageImage
Same articulation as a GI JOE 3 3/4" O-ring figure.

I think Whispering Wiliie was inspired by Wez from The Road Warrior.
Image

Whispering Willie's tri-chainsaw or whatever it's called. So post apocalyptic!
Image
The tri-chainsaw is an awesome idea but the functionality looks impossible. And if by some miracle it did work, it would jam constantly.

Whispering Willie with Chopper Trike (continued)

The Chopper Trike. One of the rarest The Corps! vehicles.
Image

The Chopper Trike is a futuristic-looking three-wheeler bike.
Image

Decals applied all over the vehicle. Decals are very durable.
Image

Just one joystick to drive the Chopper Trike. Handlebars would have been better.
Image

Fire extinguisher decal.

The Chopper Trike from the top and the bottom.
ImageImage

The Chopper Trike holds one figure. Compatible with GI JOE 3 3/4" O-ring figures ONLY.
Image

Be careful when fitting a Corps figure's hand over the joystick. Their thumb might snap!
Image

Here's hoping that Lanard will re-release this Chopper Trike soon ---
Image

so I can make more BSBs (Buzz Saw Bikes) for Ryuzo Hero of the Post Apocalypse.

I recently picked up these 4 sets (which normally sell for $5 each) for $3 each. I just can't get enough of those Corps one-man gliders and the awesome Marauders Dirt Bike.

Chopper Trike BLACK

I recently acquired this black Chopper Trike. It's a repaint of the blue Chopper Trike I previously reviewed. I snapped these pictures because I haven't reviewed this particular black version. I prefer this black Chopper Trike over the blue Chopper Trike because it's more serious and ominous looking. I don't like the rear wheels at all because they look too futuristic and awkward. I would have also preferred more proper handlebars and some weapon attachment(s). I hope Lanard re-releases this vehicle because it's such a pain in the ass to find.

That is an MXS action figure.
