I love the multi-tool in the knife holster, BTW. That's just a great touch.

What belt did you use?

I don't know about you guys, but I hated Hi-Tech when he came out back in the new-scupt era. It wasnt his specialty that bugged me. If anything, I was stoked to have a hardcore R&D guy on the team. But the figure was just another shaggy blonde with headgear. I think the preponderance of blonde white guys on the Joe team just started to get to me about that time
To be fair, the G.I. Joe team seems to be one of the few places left in pop culture where being a blond white male doesn't automatically make you evil. ;-)

Plus, I think they're actually outnumbered by the redheads on the team... :shifty:

Also, I really, really like Hi-Tech (albeit the Sigma 6 version of the character), oh and I happen to be blond myself. Could you tell? ;-)

All that aside though, I have a certain fondness for "lab rat" type characters, and it has to be said you've done your usual sterling work here. I can almost see this guy running for his life through Black Mesa's labs and corridors pursued by Xen critters and HECU Marines. :-P

Very glad to hear you guys dig this idea and execution.

The parts list minimized the painting involved: Star Wars Bespin guard head and hands, Doc Venom coat and arms, Mainframe legs and a home-made tie. Just had to adapt the head with some hot glue and then paint the neck.

Thanks for all the kind words.

I liked the original Hi-Tech, but I'm always a fan of new characters recycling old code names, too. Good concept, great execution!

He looks really good Dr. Spin. I like that he has the knife on his thigh still, sorta reminds me of the guy from Under Siege 2, "You think I'm just some kind of computer geek? I was a Navy SEAL!" Like yeah, he may do the computer geek, R & D thing, but he's perfectly capable of handling himself in combat too.
Are there any Indian Joes? Middle Eastern of any kind? Movie Breaker was from Morocco, but that seems to be about as close I can recall.
