Okay, so I tried an experiment a while back in an effort to make a more faithful-to-the-name version of Road Pig. I was happy with the result at the time, but then a helpful board member sent me what he thought would be a better head.

He was right. The MU Punisher head does make a better Road Pig. But it doesn't work on the body I made at all.

So I had to make a new one:

This is mostly the Iron Man 2 comic-style Whiplash figure. I had to swap out the lower legs and lower arms and paint up the lower torso. Also had to beef up the neck considerably.

Obviously I tried to stay pretty close to the original concept of the figure here, though I liked the codpiece and shoulderpads that came with the Whiplash, so I figured I'd paint them up and see how they worked.

I have some original shoulder pads I could swap in, though.

What do you guys think?

Well, Road Pig is a big guy to begin with. I've looked at pieces and parts from different lines and wondered what possible recipe would work to make an accurate (for 25th style) Road Pig. He's tall, built like tank, and heavily muscled.

This custom is like 95% there.

This is a good thing.

It's like *puts fingertips almost touching* this close. Without the armor it looks iffy on the neck area, but with the armor on it works.

A really good solid effort on this one, Spin, I like the codpiece and the legs mods.

I was right! That head does look really good for Road Pig. This figure looks great and really works as a modern version.

It works just fine, with the armor and without.

I like it. The Whiplash does work extremely well too.

Thanks, guys.

I'm glad I didn't sell or trade that Whiplash.

So is the verdict that the new-dangled armor is okay or would folks prefer the old-school shoulderpads?

I think the new armor works well with the waist and leg design, so don't worry about that.

If you wanna post a pic with the old school so we could see what he'd look like, go ahead.

BTW-I did look back over the evolution of your Road Pig customs. Very interesting recipe ideas throughout.

I may do that this weekend and add a poll.

Thanks.

This Road Pig looks awesome!

My only critique, I guess, would be that he's too "polished". If his armor, pants and cinder block club were all scuffed-up a bit to show some battle wear it would add a lot to the overall badass'edness.
