I was pretty miffed when I got my FF boxed set and realized the Richardses were in short sleeves now. I'm kind of a classicist when it comes to my Marvel figures' appearances.

So anyway, I decided to try and "fix" them by covering up their arms for them.

Here's how that turned out:

What do you guys think?

Personally I like the short sleeves but that's just me.

Your changes look really good. Without knowing what you did I don't think I'd be able to tell they were customized.

I think I'm with you on the classic look being preferred, and the paint matching looks flawless. I might not be bothered by the short sleeves on the base fig, except that they are painted sleeves, which really isn't a good look for short sleeves.

It looks really good, you matched the color perfect. I think I might have left Sue short sleeved or even made her sleeveless just to make each member a little more individual. Also I am jealous of your flight stand and your fantastic four boxset

Thanks, all. I'm glad you dig them.

The arms came off of some old Marvel Legeneds Showdown figures I had in my fodder bin.

Reed's pretty much popped right on and were good to go. Sue's took a lot of modding (both to the arms and to her shoulder sockets) to work properly.

I may try to pick up a second Reed so I can do a non-flaming Johnny at some point, but for now I'm okay with having him represented in flamed-on mode.

Oh nice. Good call on using the MLS figures.

yeah SHS colors match. I have the set and don't mind the short sleeves though, always good for a little updating look, but they do look good long sleeves too..so win win
