The Crimson Neo-Vipers bothered me. They are supposed to be the bodyguards of the upper ranked echelon within Cobra. I like the idea, but I dislike the execution. It’s just a recoloured Neo-Viper with nothing really making them seem more like royal guards, which is really what they are. So, as i sat looking at my collection I decided to take some spare parts and re-envision the figure. This is my take on the Cobra royal guard.

Parts List
Head: Cobra Commander (Rise of Cobra)
Torso: The Doctor (Rise of Cobra)
Upper Arms: The Doctor (Rise of Cobra)
Lower Arms: Cobra Commander (Rise of Cobra)
Hands: Union Jack (Marvel Universe)
Legs: Crimson Neo-Viper (Rise of Cobra)
Chest Armor: Crimson Neo-Viper (Rise of Cobra)
Shoulderpads: Hand Ninja (Marvel Universe)
Gauntlets: Storm Shadow (Arctic Assault)
Sash & Skirt: Sao Feng (Pirates of the Caribbean)
Guandao: Storm Shadow (Whirlwind Kick)
Shield: Dark Trooper Phase 1 (Star Wars: Legacy Collection)

I thought this was a Spectre custom when I first opened it. It could easily fit either Joe or GI Joe which is saying something. I like it.

Those parts go great together. I could see this being a ceremonial royal guard, or a battle version of the Star Wars Emperor's Guard. Nice parts and paint all around.

Missed this the first time through. It has the appearance of a very clean and simple custom, but I think you really pulled off the feel of an elite honor guard type of trooper.

I think this is awesome idea, and a great selection of parts. I like that you used a darker red too. All in all an inspiring and very borrowable figure.
