no Bothans died at all in the making of this custom.

a Shockblast figure was sacrificed though. Image

here's Kor'aralo, the Bothan of Mandalore... if I had a Star Wars RPG character, this would be it. I support the EU stance that Mandos are a warrior society (not a race) and that anyone can become a son or daughter of Mandalore, they just have to earn it.

I am damn proud of this custom. It was a pain in the ass but so well worth the time it took.

the Bothan head was scratch built starting with the snout of a Schiech horse and a MU Cap. Everything else was superglue and tons of sculpting. His Mando facemask helmet is all random SW/Joe helmets and armor bits chopped up and glued together to form a bucket large enough for his massive Bothan melon.

That is crazy cool. I'd be proud as well.

Nice use of the Elite Viper armour. Shockwave legs were a good choice as well.

[SW Nerd]That's technically true of pre-Clone Wars EU but it should be noted that it came with the caveat that only a few races were really attracted to the aggressive, straight-forward, martial Mandalorian lifestyle, primarily humans. Bothans, noted, by contrast, for their love of spycraft, deceit and subterfuge, would make for rather unlikely Mandos, though I suppose there are always exceptions to the rule.[/SW Nerd]

Nicely done. I really like those pouches up on the shoulder armor.

yeah, you should be proud. The custom scratch build head is cool, and the concept overall is awesome. I get PY's point of nerd-dom, but I also think he answered his own interesting point with his own obvious caveat - there are no absolutes. The most aggressive Bothan in the galaxy just might be a bad ass mother, and here he is. ;)

I'm sure I missed it in my skimming, but did you sculpt the mando chest plates??

EDIT: Oh, and be sure to show this at Yakface and elsewhere. Will be a big hit in the SW crowd.

Yeah, I didn't really like it when I first saw it, but it seems to be growing on me. I love the smug little grin on his face.

Maybe this Bothan had a particularly rough childhood. Lol I dunno. What I was really trying to do here was combine one of my favorite alien species with one of the coolest [warrior] ideas in all Star Wars. I like the visual impact Mandos make. Maybr the rest of this dude's family are spies but he didn't fit in.

I'm not a (mayor) SW fan so I wasn't aware of the ability to become a mandalorian other than beign born a mandalorian or aware of the race you customed this character after but I have to say that it KICKs @$$... Great apps and sculpt, makes me want to do a shreriff bravehart custom

That is what made me like this custom. It sticks out in a good way. While I'm no fan of Mandos, you can tell a lot of love went into this custom. Nice work.
