What I think really makes this work is the cracks in the helmet that are only noticeable when the lights are on.

My big complain is the right arm. It doesn't look like battle damage as much as it looks unfinished. I understand the challenge of wiring an LED into such a thin piece, but maybe if at least a few filaments or another bolt of electricity were used it would tie together better.

i have had the opportunity to see this first hand and it really is pretty cool. from the looks of it, tighten up the paint apps, and it would be completely usable in a diorama.

Maybe even just painted like melted metal or wrapped in the same electricity bolts the shoulders have.

I love the idea. The execution is a little rough here and there but nothing I'd be worried about.

As for the wires and such you might want to look into something like this. http://www.vkrpets.com/products.php?product=Pet-Blinkers If you had that as part of the backpack and the light inserted into the chest it would be a lot cleaner. Or just use a Eco Warriors or Battle Talkers backpack to hide everything in.

Is there a specific aspect of the figure you're not clear on how to do?

It's a bit late for the "How To" as the figure is already built...but if you have a specific question I can see what I can do to answer it.

If you use the LED's from that place I linked to...it's pretty much just stuff the LEDs into whatever you want to light up, then connect them to a battery.

I'll keep a bit of a tutorial in mind if/when I start another project that will use simple LED circuits.

ooh, I missed the LED link you gave before. I've been interested in adding them to some projects also.

I also re-read the reasons you aren't thrilled with this one. One question - but if it's a stupid one forgive me, I don't do enough ARAH stuff to know this off the top. But if one clear packaging band in place of the o-ring leaves him floppy, what about using two clear packaging bands instead? Is that not physically practical?

The issue is more to the fact that the packaging bands aren't very elastic... also the clear resin I used has a bit of flex to it...so the portion that the O ring loops over in the torso flexes and lets the band get a bit looser too.

also I have the band being used doubled up to shorten it...I'm not sure the T-hook would accommodate another band, let alone another one doubled up as well.
