I had used a shrink-job head for my Superman. But it may be a tad large for this body.

I called it infinite crisis, sry, I meant crisis on 2 earth's, but you knew what I meant. lol.
As for a new Supe head. wow tough call. i have been trying to find one other than the IH one for a while. (I have an extra if you have interest. Would need painted because i had painted it up bloody in the past but stripped the paint off, some staining) My thought for a Supe head had been to use the ROC unmasked stormshadow. I think the Jaw is about right. It would require sanding hair and resculpting hair for it to work. Kinda why i never tried it. Was not sure if I could pull it off. Another one is ROC Covergirl, same great jawline but once again needs hair sculpted on. Other than those 2 hard to pull off options, I have not settled on one myself.

Colossus' head with some hair mods could work for Superman perhaps.

That is such a great recipe for Superman.
If I actually cared at all for the character I would totally use that combo.

Hell I don't really care for Superman, but I have all of those parts, so I may end up making him anyway.

The Flash is just wonderful, very well done.

Dear Mattel,
Please go to www.joecustoms.com forum and have a look at Spin Doctor's Flash custom. He totally and utterly p'wned the one you produced. Why can't a multi-national toy company like yours produce something that good?

Okay, first off, thanks for all the comments.

I followed drbindy's and meddatron's advice and cannibalized my DCIH Public Enemies Superman for a new head and, since I was trashing the figure anyway, used some other parts to address the cape issue, swap in better hands and add the belt.

Here's how Supes is looking now:

Better?

Next up, I started work on the third member of my Justice League - The Dark Knight:

As you can see, I took a sort of unconventional approach to Bats. I love the classic comic version, but I've really grown fond of Nolan's screen interpertation as well as the neo-classic look in the Arkham Asylum games. This was my attempt to combine what I thought were the best elements of the latter two -- darker color scheme, massive build but no chunky armor to limit his movements.

Much as with Supes, Bats isn't finished. But while drbindy is helping me out with the shield crest for the last son of Krypton, I have no idea what to do for Bats' symbol. Any thoughts?

Better?

Like the difference between night and day. Like, off the charts better.

As for Batman, the only thing I'm not sold on is the tops of the boots. Feel like they stick out too much and could catch on stuff.

As for a symbol, I think maybe if you had a raised outline of the Bat symbol, that might work.

I like the Superman head choice much better (and I didn't really have an issue with the first),

Superman looks a ton better. A ton.

For Batman either sculpt the modern raised symbol or go with the classic yellow oval sticker. I think the costume could go either way. However, I do agree about the cuffs of the boots being too wide for the calves.

Wow, that is about the most absolutely perfect Superman figure I think I've ever seen.
Simply flawless.

Holy "LASER BLAST" Spin! That Supes comes off as an entirely different figure. LOVE IT, and I will make sure the decal gets in the mail to you this week.

As for Batman, if you go with a raised black bat logo, rather than the more colorful sticker, I did mine by printing out a properly scaled bat emblem I liked (and that was not too intricately detailed in the outline) then used the paper as a simple pattern on top of some thin black vinyl - i.e. electrical tape. It's important to use Goo Gone to remove the adhesive from the tape, as it will give you problems later if you do not. But you then cut out the pattern with the vinyl underneath, and you end up with a very durable vinyl bat logo which can then be superglued to the chest, and painted over easily. The superglue won't hold though, if you don't remove the adhesive first from the tape.

Looks alot better with the new head and cape but trust me and repaint the Superman head there is a lot there in that sculpt that can be brought out in new paints. Like the cannibalism of the comic and movie looks going for batman I would go for a raised emblem using the old yellow and black bat symbol that the comics have gone back to.

yup that supes is great, good to see the thinner cyclops body fits well with the DCIH figure parts, maybe I'll go back to looking for that DCIH supes and move my base body over to Cyclops.
