Recently purchased a few of these and thought that I would give them a proper paint job.The sculpts actually hide alot of cool details for figures produced in the seventies and I think in Spider-Man's case is far superior to his 1984 Secret Wars figure. Spider-man is just a very time consuming repaint and Robin is the same with a few details added with apoxie sculpt.Hope that you enjoy and leave comments.

Nicely done. I remember having a bunch of those as a kid, only the ones I had were the bent-knee versions. The detailing on Robin's head is a great nod to the 6" Mego Robin.

WOW. I wanted these toys before, but to see what they could have been - WOW!

Plus I have the urge to take a nap on orange or green shag carpeting in the sunshine after Sesame Street. Good memories.

Dude, did you visit my house circa 1980?

Those turned out great. The painting brought out so much of the lost details.

Thanks for the comments guys ! I hope to add Batman,Hulk and THe Joker to this series in the near future. And if I can either find my Superman or purchase one on the cheap I would love to add The Man of Steel to this lineup as well as make new figures to the series including Green Lantern and The Flash! Just need to get a couple bases for cheap.

Remember these from my childhood, amazing how different they look with a proper paint job. Great work. Surprised that Mego did not think about this back in the 70s.

I disagree that the '84 SW Spider-Man is inferior to the Pocket Heroes version. The SW version is still my all-time favorite Spider-Man figure. But these figures are brilliant in both concept and execution. Can't wait to see the ones that you create.
