I originally thought "crap, they're losing the stands!", but then I realized that I got a Psylocke the other day, and didn't even notice that there wasn't a stand in the package. So I guess since I don't really use them, and I obviously don't really notice their absence, I'm ok with Hasbro dropping them, as long as it helps keep the price of the figures from going up.

And the cardboard comic shot thing went right in to the recycle bin with the rest of the packaging, just like the SHIELD and HAMMER "comic shots" did.

I bought one of those Widow repaints.. it will be cheaper than paying for the stupid light up stand at retail (if these actually hit retail)

Interesting thing...the original silhouettes on back showed a Hawkeye figure... it's been changed to another Iron Man....

That's sad news to me about the stands. Some figure can't stand great and I really like them.

Went to several Family Dollars and all they had were regular looking Thor and Iron Man. Nothing special about them.

Well "LASER BLAST", no one said that those Black Widows were currently on ebay.
Thankfully I checked and was able to get the last one the seller had available.

Of course he'll probably get more (he's sold through almost 20 in three different auctions) but every time he relists more figures, the price goes up. I would've preferred the initial $7.99 with free shipping, but $9.97 and $2.00 shipping isn't bad.
Like PYD said, cheaper than buying it in the stores with a light up stand I couldn't care any less about.


Seller also has an odd Black Widow figure available, that appears to be a single carded Black Widow figure, with Psylocke's head.



Also got a Stretch Strike Venom today. I have sort of mixed feelings about the figure.
The sculpt is fantastic, and the articulation is better than the first one, but I really don't like the brownish-grey color the figure is molded in, or the purple hilights. Can't they just do a black venom with no hilighting on it. Had this figure looked MUCH more like the image on the back of the package, or like the original figure shown at the last toyfair, it wouldv'e been a great looking figure. Maybe a dip in a black RIT bath will help it some...

I found a stretch stike Venom a couple of weeks ago. The color makes that figure awesome. I absolutely love the grey with the weird metallic purple sprinkled throughout. I can get why it isn't everyone's cup of tea, though. His accessory feels really weird and is fun to play with. I was blown away that I even found that figure. Of course I found it at TRU, so it was $10, but I never would have found it again.

The Black Widow figure is an improvement, though I'm generally ok with the existing figure. I might pick it up if it ever shows up at TRU.

Yeah he clearly had no idea what the demand would be. The first batch went up with a 7.99 buy it now. Each bach got slightly more expensive.
