I must say I love your JLA so far. I wish DC figures at this scale looked like this instead of the un-detailed, un-articulated chunks of plastic we get. I'd love to see your vision for Green Arrow, Black Canary and Zatanna. As for the Darkseid dilemma, have you considered an MU Thanos or Apocalypse as a jumping off point?

I assumed that the WW head was from a DCIH figure, it looks production quality.

Thanks again for all the very kind words, all.

I have now. ;) Actually, went and looked at my Apocalypse again and I think I can make him work. Thanks for the idea!

Meanwhile, here are a couple of other villains to go with this group.

I made a power armor Lex Luthor for my smaller (actual Infinite Heroes) scale DC customs a while back and, with just a little torso lengthening, he actually appears to work, scale-wise:

Here he is kicking Kal's can:

The figure's just a bash of a DCIH Lexcorp trooper and an Iron Man Guardsman with a DCIH Luthor head. Eventually I want a power suit Lex, but I think I need to wait until the Men in Black line comes out for that. Because I used half of my only remaining SDCC Destro to make this guy:

I tried to incorporate elements of the comic look with the color sensibilities of the Batman animated series. I think seeing him next to my movie-inspired Dark Knight has convinced me to try and knock out a comic-/toon-style Batman sooner than later:

Joker's parts list includes a heavily modified Hugh Jackman as Wolverine head on an SDCC Destro torso and legs with modified RoC Cobra Commander arms, coat and feet. The hands are from Grand Admiral Thrawn and the vestcoat is scratch-built and the tie is a heavily modified headband from the Hard Master.

For a size comparison, here's a shot of the two big bads back-to-back:

Love them both! My only comments for Lex woould be to paint the gloves and boots a metallic purple or burgundy.and maybe recolor the symbol with yellow and burgundy.Joker looks great asis and the animated color choice is great!

joker looks really good. For wonder woman you could still use the jean grey head if you wanted to go back and change her.

Both Lex and The joker look great.

Really starting to regret passing on clearanced DCIH figures, I guess they would have worked for custom fodder after all.

Looks like Guardsman's limbs.

The only critique I have is that the lower torso on Lex looks too narrow. Even if his belly isn't armored, it still looks like it would be too thin.

Otherwise, fantastic as usual!

Thank you!

I'd been staring at Lex for a while and not quite sure what felt "off" about him. But looking at that turned to the side shot, you're absolutely right.

So I went back and tried to fix that:

Not sure if it's showing up in this pic well enough, but I also took unknownsoldier13's advice and went over the purple in a metallic version of the color. In person, I like the figure tons more now.

And speaking of metallic colors, I had some fun mixing one up for this next guy as well:

As much time and effort, trial and error that went into finding and prepping the right parts for my Joker figure, Deathstroke fell together MUCH easier. I just happened to have my MU Taskmaster in hand and realized how similar the costumes were to each other. Next thing I knew, I had that and my DCIH Deathstroke on my table with a utility blade and some glue. I swapped in some MU Bullseye upper arms and mixed up some orange and some metallic (cobalt) blue for his lower torso and sleeves. Then I armed him to the gills.

What do you guys think?

Dude...i weep at the beauty of that Lex Luthor in Power Armor. It looks like fantastic toy that i'd love to fiddle with. I'd buy that figure in a heart beat if it were on shelves and i have very little interest in lex luthor.

Crap in a ******* hat...THAT's what DCIH should have been.

*Not that i'm complaining about the $1 to $2 clearance price many picked them up at.
