Sand pirates use all manner of improvised vehicles to attack those that may have something they want. Everything from small swoops to stolen racers are outfitted with makeshift weapons of destruction.

When the mining companies abandoned Tattooine due to lack of exploitable resources, they left behind thousands of pieces of machienery ranging from small sonic excavators to massive mobile smelting factory sandcrawlers. The sand pirates have taken advantage of many of these derelict vehicles, especially a small fleet of dune borers which they use to attack their enemies from below.

your dry brushing looks great in the pics, the figure works well with what it's intended for. the head and respirator to keep the dust out. "Very Cool!!!" indeed

Why did you have to make such a crap vehicle so cool?!

I really like how you modified the cockpits. Very cool use of kibble and bits.

Absolutely fantastic, Spectre!

mashing those pods together is one thing, but customizing those cockpits is incredible! you're really working wonders on the ROC/POC detritus!

I am seriously loving your color palate these days -- you've always been a great painter, but lately you've just been astounding!

I am glad that everyone is enjoying this project.

This was one tough build! It looks deceptively simple, but there were some difficult hurdles to overcome. I had to entirely gut the rear pod (Lava version I won at the Tri-State Vipers Get Together last year, :) ) and then scratch build the interior (hardest part of this was removing the console, that was some thick, unyeilding plastic :( ). The hardest part of the entire project was mating the Lava Pod to the Mole Pod, thet do not line up properly and there was a major seam that had to be filled in using Elmers Wood Glue. It took 2 tries but I finally got them to line up properly and filled the seam. I caught a lucky break as the wood glue is self leveling so by standing the craft on it's tail (prior to adding the details on the back), I got a beautiful even seal! :)

BTW, if anyone was wondering, the wicked looking drill tip is a modified "Green Lantern" construct.

Awesome job, as usual, but where is the prerequisite "for this project I built five" comment?

Awesome results.
But a small question, while he digs, how can he reach for his lunch in the cargo bay?

I'm glad you said this because this custom is so cool I might have tried it otherwise. This is more RoC movie accurate than what was released. You really shined up a turd with this one.
