It's very rare that I post WIPs or incomplete figures but this time I am making an exception. I have been working on a project for over a year now, incorporating Inspector Gadget into my ATR world. Well it's nearly complete. I have made 8 figures, 1 dog, 1 car, and I'm working on a dio background. Just a few shots of the work so far. Gadget, Penny, Brain, and the MAD Major and Henchmen are complete. Corporal Capeman, Dr Claw, and the Gadget Mobile are still WIPs. I'm also including a short snippet of the dio I'm working on shooting for the site.

Okay enough typing. Enjoy.

"Hey did ya hear about Brown from computer crimes?"

"No what happen? He get carpal tunnel and claim an on the job injury?"

"Nah man he's dead."

"Wuh.. Crap. What happened?"

"Apparently he was sent into the field for his first time and got taken out by a stray bullet."

"One of ours?"

"You know it. Thing is after being hit the brass loaded him into a bus and, well no ones really knows what happened to him, there was no wake, no funeral. Nothing. Until the other day."

"Why didn't anyone tell me? I could used the time off even if it was to go see a stiff."

"It's not like that man. The other day he walked into HQ."

"I thought you said he bit it."

"That's the thing man. He did. Dead as "LASER BLAST". But he's back."

"Like a zombie." He says arms outstretched, "I've come to eat your brains."

"Ha! No man, not like that, but it's something just as strange. I saw him, he's… different. Hell man his eyes glow yellow. And he seems… taller. I heard they did some experiments on him, some Robocop type "LASER BLAST". I heard some tech guy call him Inspector Gadget."

The second man doubles over with laughter. Catching his breath, "Wait. Are you telling me those tech heads named him after a "LASER BLAST" cartoon character?"

"What?"

"Oh come on man you never heard of Inspector Gadget. He was a cartoon from the early 80s some imbecile "inspector" who always "LASER BLAST" "LASER BLAST" up but somehow saved the day. He was all 'Go Go Gadget "LASER BLAST".' Really "LASER BLAST"' stupid but my kids loved it."

"That's "LASER BLAST"' funny."

"If you tell me he has a dog named Brain and a kid named Penny I'll piss myself."

As the two men laugh at their own jokes a third voice startles them from behind.

"Actually Penny was Gadget's niece. My daughter happens to be named Penelope. And yeah I named my dog Brain, something you two jackasses don't have."

I'm planning tackling a bit more true to the original design version of the Inspector with the Renegades CC body to go up against my Dr. Claw, but I really like your re-imaginings.

Did you make that coat? That has to be one of the coolest coats I've seen in that scale. I love the realistic, darker look, one of my fav shows growing up. Are you going to give Dr. Claw a cat?

Awesome work man, really nice looking figures. Nice paint application, inspector Gadget looks like he means business! nothing like a bumbling detective at all! Looking forward to seeing claw complete. Oh and before I forget, the henchmen look really good.

I like it. Not as fun and innocent as the cartoon version, but I like it. Brain with the night vision is brilliant. What is the copper thing in the trunk of the car?

Thanks all. Pluv sorry man I thought I had censored it enough my bad. The copper thing is a halo weapon. I'm using it as confiscated alien tech that gadget happens to have access to.

Awesome idea and very well executed thus far.

My only nit is Gadget's head and particularly the face. I want a face that actually captures some of the innocent and comic look of the original (despite the darker connotations of this version). I think something with slightly rounder eyes and a more pronounced schnoz would totally do it for me.

But that's a pretty minor nit and totally based on my preference.
