I'll need a few to remake the final scene of Revenge of the Ninja.
I hope the heads are mounted on a neck ball so they'll be easy to swap with other figures.

Sad thing is the companies say the MSRP is up due to plastic costs. But if they didn't need to include the build a droid or game part or huge ass missile accessories they could bring down costs. So don't believe their innocent pleas in regards to cost. And TRU is run by douches. If you didn't know that.

I honestly think the toy industry is milking customers because they can, at the same time they are literally killing themselves. Oh, things sell at the higher cost? But they sell less and less as prices go up so I doubt profits are rising. Stores raise prices, less sells, they clearance half of it off. A bunch gets sold to TJ Maxx and Ross for serious discount.

I... really have no clue as to why stores and toy companies are doing things like this. It seems highly counter-productive. And without even knowing the production costs of toys, it's hard to say how much they "need" to raise prices. And with the TJ Maxx example, I wonder why stores just don't charge those prices out the door to start with instead of cutting out the middle man, because I can bet you they're not getting $6 each when TJ Maxx buys them.

A lot of fans feel comfortable accepting the companies word as gold. I know in the end it comes down to "if you don't like whatever the problem may be, don't buy it". But this is a discussion board, so that "advice" is really more of a troll thing to say to stir up a fight.

I would have to say the higher price is due to the industry trying to flex out and see what can be obtained. They have let it go with the already higher price we've been give for about 5 years now. Meanwhile smaller companies have come in selling their figures at a higher price. Then you have collector figures like Matty, NECA, etc.

Sure you can rationalize all you want, but in the end MSR is just that, a suggested price. If it sells well, it becomes the new standard. We'd see the price go up again if the new $9 and $10 a figure idea goes over well enough. Meanwhile there's still companies like Lanard still figuring out ways to keep their costs down. They know they have to, through finding lower costing supplies to manufacture or whatever the case may be.

The games or BAF parts, any of that is a cheap way to try and justify the higher cost. Fans that like to troll other fans have said it from the tallest hill about how these companies "have to" include this stuff for the kids (or whatever their choice idea may be) and so cost has to go up. In the end it's just about whatever they can get and what we will pay. We've already seen a number of times when a price hike doesn't work, the price does come back down. Sometimes a whole line may have to be sacrificed in order for it to happen though, and that's the sad part. That may end up being the case with MIB.

Wow, thank you. Let's sticky this someplace in the "Hall of Knowledge" or something as something someone has to read before they post. I don't know when it happened, but at some point there emerged some kind of "board nazi" approach that stated "If you don't accept everything a toy company says, you are nuts, immature and 12 years old."

Discussion boards exist for discussion, not for weird "toe the line", worship the company type stuff. I like Hasbro a lot, and don't see a lot to criticize, but without discussion we agree with and disagree with, this becomes a pretty boring board with nothing to say really fast.

I'd want a suit body and a Retaliation Joe Colton head to make one of my Doom customs- Elliot Swann. Beyond that I have no interest.

I already refuse to buy the $11 Joes at Walgreens. If they go that high elsewhere I'd ditch the line wholesale. I also made it clear I won't buy those Retro action real Ghostbusters because charging $22 for $10 toys, even if it's Mattel's habit, is borderline scummy. Though I almost see Mattel crashing and burning eventually. Poeple on he-man.org are sick of Digital River and Matty's scheduled sales, the crap QC that almost every figure has, the lousy customer service, and people are now vocally insulting Toyguru and calling him a liar, which I can't blame them for because the guy sort of is a liar. One thread seemed to have a vocal majority saying that they want him fired from MOTUC.

To whom?

Also, aside from Wow Girls, and sort of MLP, all you want to do is talk about how much you don't like things. It's kind of a bummer to those of us excited for a new line.

I don't get how advising someone to just not buy stuff they complain about is trollin'. Especially when people tend to [LASER BLAST] and moan, then buy it up. I also don't think anyone said to accept what company A says. I think they do give their reasons, and those reasons might come up in some form when they price out their toys. Honestly there is very little discussion when it comes down to it. While people may complain and come up with reasons, when a logical answer is given it is generally ignored and the same nonsense is typed up again and posted.

Hasbro already gave us a pretty good Mr. Orange head.
Shame Jules Winfield will have to sport an eye-patch.

Mace is clean shaven and bald so a bit of sculpt and paint and that should work, the Nick fury head is bald but has facial hair IIRC plus the eye patch so I figured its only a little more work on the Mace head.
