Or the same complaints repeated ad nauseum.

Quickest way to show any business your disapproval? Stop buying it. It's that simple, and it's hardly "trolling"

seconded. I am showing hasbro my disapproval of their articulation removal by not buying the toys.

since I am fully aware that none of this needed to make me a happy well adjusted person it is a pretty easy thing for me to do. As is I am giving slayer design a lot more of my money lately.

The toy industry is doing whatever it can to cut costs, and claiming whatever they'd like to raise prices. Kids aren't buying as many toys these days, they know it and we know it. (and yes kids do still buy toys, but instead of buying them in the quantity and for the duration that we did as kids, they are only doing about half that these days) Fanboys are filling that gap with gusto. We all know people that regularly buy entire waves of figures, troop build, and stockpile custom fodder or whatever. They know that no matter how much we [LASER BLAST], we still buy their crap.

When oil prices go down do stockers go out and lower the standard prices of all the action figures? How about sale prices? doesn't it seem odd that an item sold for 7-10 bucks can be clearanced for 2? The Only retail job I have ever had was at Hobby Lobby, the mark up on their fake furniture and wall coverings is somewhere around 150-250 percent. So when that crap goes on sale every other week people will freak and buy it up. With the wave system so many of us are soo looking forward to whatever figure coming down the pipe that if we happen to see it on shelves we freak and buy it up. It is a con.

during ARAH we had a whole year and then some to decide if we really wanted that Crystal Ball guy...
average income for a grown man in 1985 was $42,847, in 2005 it was 2005 $41,386 it went down, and yes that is inflation adjusted... so why are luxury items getting more and more expensive? We hear a lot about Chinese wages going up... but really is 75 cents an hour (the average in China in 2010) really driving up anyones cost? but really Hasbro is known to use Jet fair and Kader Holdings Company factories, KHC pays around 1.50-1.75 a day. and is known for laying off workers with no warning. Lead to a riot over there even... but Hasbro has told us these people making a a buck or two a day, 45-60 a month, are the reason action figures are soooo expensive.

maybe we should stop buying them based on how these workers are treated. GI Joe does fight for freedom wherever there's trouble, except Chinese factories.

I am kind of doing the same. I am only buying the stuff I REALLY want now. There are only about 6 or 7 "Star Wars" figures I plan on getting this year (and only 1 of each at that) and that's only if they actually look nice in-hand in the store, no vehicles/Battle Packs/deluxe sets/etc.

I only bought the Loki from "The Avengers" line because I wanted him in his helmet and could never find the uber-rare "King Loki" from last year's "Thor: The Mighty Avenger" line. I had initially planned on getting the Ultimates Thor based on the pics, but passed when I saw him in the store due to how cheap he looked in person. The only other item from this line I plan on getting is the Black Widow unless she looks terrible in person.

The only other Hasbro purchases I plan on making at all are Beta Ray Bill (to customize go with my Thor movie figs) and maybe the new Beast to be a cat alien in my Cantina. I might get the Lizard from the new "Spiderman" line to be a new reptilian alien if he looks good when he comes out.

Thant's it, no other Hasbro purchases planned for the year (the inevitable deep clearances excepted).

As for other companies' 3 3/4" (or "close enough to scale") offerings, I am passing on the MIB3 line (I only want some of the accessories and I'm sure I can trade for them), no interest in the new "Ben 10" line, only a passing interest in The Kraang figure from the new "Turtles" line (need to see one in hand), no interest in the "Mortal Kombat" or "Street Fighter" offerings, no interest in the "Voltron" sub, "Thundercats" still look far too cartoony and have that crappy magnet gimmick, etc., etc., etc.

Same here. I stopped buying most of the vehicles because I didn't have room for them, and they were getting bland. I'm not buying all the figures I see because they're either redundant, boring, or lack articulation in ways that I consider vital. For instance. The cap with rocket boosters on the back of his shield has no swivel elbow. So, a guy with a shield has no way to cross it across himself? Nope. That's vital, and really kind of dumb.

The difference with me is, I don't buy it, and I certainly don't clog up every single thread with my repeated thoughts on how Hasbro is screwing up, and "doesn't care". It just becomes white noise after so long. What's the point? Leave it on the peg, and forget about it.

"Not buying" really doesn't do anything but risk canning the entire line due to low sales. Which I guess is just as well, if they're not making what you want anyway, and not buying shuts it down then I guess it really has the same end result for the customer. Not that it'll work... us not buying is barely registered by the toy company, and the stores don't seem to care because they clearance it and go onto the next offering with no real recording of what's what and it's not as if they ask each customer why they buy so collectors, parents, gift buyers, it's all the same.

"Not buying" isn't going to magically make a company produce something else. They could make what you want(going back to o-rings after trying out the t-crotch), or they could try something totally different(Sigma 6).

I plan to get movie CC and the HISS Tank with armored CC, that's about all. I don't know how the armored CC will fare with cut articulation because we haven't seen anything above the chest. Not even anyone at Toy Fair asked to take a proper pic of it because it was in the back bucket.

I didn't say it would "magically" do anything, did I? I said don't buy it. If the line gets canned, who cares? All some people do is complain about it anyway, so maybe it'll give them something else to focus on that actually makes them happy.

if the line dies it dies. If people make a crappy figure and sell it for 9 dollars, then people will keep making crappy figures and sell them for 9 dollars.

If Poc sold, and avengers toys don't, even though they have a movie, someone will have to wonder why. If it takes it all going away to get good figures again I am fine with that. the world will not end, and toys will never be gone for good.

I think Joe could deserve a break of 2-3 years, really. Or maybe bring it back when Brian Goldner steps down and someone new heads Hasbro because it's sort of gone downhill with him in charge.

Hope they slip in some designs from the old cartoon. Need a "lemme see ya bounce with me" Agent J with bouncing action feature.
