Finally had a chance to finish up my Martian Manhunter, who's been a WIP for a while now:

Obviously I took a few liberties with the design, combining elements from several different looks (I really don't like heroes in just bikini briefs).

Here's how he looks with the rest of the "original seven" in my DC verse:

My only suggestion on him is try a modified Doc Strange or Vision cape current one just overshadows the head too much, otherwise great job!

Might also try The new Ras a ghul Young Justice cape.Is that from the IH figure? Looks great and is one that I need to add to my league at some point soon. Keep them coming.

I can see the cape critique, other than that I think this is a terrific version of J'onn, maybe my favorite of your big seven. Going with a mix of costumes was the right call.

Have to agree on the cape crit. Everything else is great! I just think the current cape is a tad too short and bulky around the face. I think an MU Dr. Strange or Vision cape as Will suggested would put this over the top. Really nice paint apps and parts selections on this fig. It has a very Brightest Day feel (which is my personal fav outfit) Nice Job! Your Justice League has come together really nice. They have a very nice scale and the figs flow together and compliment each other well.

Have you thought about changing the cape? :tictoc:

The onyl other thing I would do is paint the cross straps so they match the shade of the belt.

thanks for the comments on Marty Manny, all. I'm still thinking about the best way to do the straps. Might need to scrap the ones I've got and start over with some sculpey.

Meanwhile, wanted to share my latest efforts. A two-fer featuring some Kirby classics from New Genesis, Orion and Lightray:

I figured since I already have a Darkseid and Kalibak, I might as well get big D's other kid into the mix. And I couldn't very well have him without his sidekick.

What do you guys think of the way they turned out?

Those are pretty badass. The lines on Orion's boots look like they were painted at the factory. What did you use for his helmet?

Thanks. There's so few details on Orion's outfit that I wanted to be sure I got the boots as close to perfect as I could.

The helmet is a hollowed out JLU Orion head.

Agreed - one suggestion I'd make is to put a silver or blue "collar" on his neck (with flesh-tone painted above the collar), to go along with the comic appearances and break up some of the red.

Any plans for his Astro-Harness?

Love Orion!!! Fantastic job! I used the same head on my Lightray as it's one of the only available like this. I'll probably swap with the upcoming Angel head though. Great work.

Man these all turned out fantastic, the best thing that ever happened to DC action figures was Marvel Universe and kick-ass customizers to make them. Great work.

Thanks guys. I'm glad folks are digging these.

Chief, I think I will be putting some metal around Orion's neck. Good call.

As for the Astro Harness, I tried out the JLU-scaled one and it just looked comically big and cartoony, so I'm definitely open to creative suggestions for how I might kit-bash one.

I've got a Mister Miracle in production now, so I'm definitely in this mode this month.
