Was the designer related to the guy who designed the Death Star?

Don't you know? Bad guys never hit their target unless they are supposed to die and come back 6 months later.

I really like that look of Rogers in the mech suit. Now I just need to find it in stores again.

Oh yeah, good point.
Then I want one too!

I think it was designed by the same folks that leave the HISS gunner exposed in every version of the HISS.

In theory, I think the open area is suppose to have "bullet proof glass" or a protective force field. Not going all comic book geek, but I think that's the "pretend" part that a kid is suppose to just go with. Hasbro probably just didn't want to add more cost by having plastic parts over places they didn't necessarily have to. I could be wrong but it sounds comic bookish.

Did they also design this?

I don't think that analogy works in this case.

I bought some of the Arnim Zola Marvel Legends and their plastic feels a lot cheaper than anything else I remember. What's up with that? I pay $20 for a MOTUC figure and they feel well made. For $15, so should these.

To be fair, with the hummer, the gunner can retreat back into the hummer. There's no room for a HISS gunner to duck into.

The HISS gunner can squat down at the very least. I always assumed the rear of the HISS had some storage and/or troop carrying space anyway.

the hummer isn't exactly bullet proof, so yeah he can retreat down into the non protected cab.

Anyone seeing the Mechs at anywhere other than TRU? The two Targets by me that I've been to don't even have shelf space for them, just the IM Jet/Cap Tank SKU and the Quinjet. TRU had everything though. I'm just wondering if the Mechs are exclusive to TRU or if Target just didn't order any. Of course it could just be the Targets by me too.

I've seen the mechs at Target, but not Wal-Mart.

I've *only* seen the mechs at WM. In fact they were the very first Avengers items to show up there, and the first to disappear, too.

I've seen them at both Target and TRU. It's been a few weeks since i have been in my local Walmarts so I cannot say anything about them having them or not.

Has anyone found Ultimate Hawkeye? He was supposed to be in the Ultimate Thor wave and he is on the card but I have had zero luck finding him.

Yeah, I found one for myself and one for Liftoff. He sucks for anything more than radical surgery.
