Skidmark

He just kind of came together when I was looking at the Renegades Trooper head.

Head: Ren Cobra Trooper
Torso: Airtight
Arms: Steel Brigade
Legs: Beach Head

I debated doing his improved color scheme from his comic book appearance, but this uniform was his "official" one. I may do him again in the better colors though.

It's funny when a figure many repaint to show the potential of the parts gets updated faithfully to a new format. This is well done, and because of that it suffers from a lot of the original's drawbacks.

Yea, I want to do Windmill because he was also pretty cool in this same issue Skidmark appeared in and he had to toned down colors. But I know the first version I do will have the RAH faithful color scheme.

I just got three of those Troopers and I never would have thought to use the head as Skidmark.

Now it's like, why didn't I see that?

Very nice. I love the use of that Renegades Cobra Trooper head for it. The entire figure really captures the look of the original very nice, but that head just does a great job of setting it off.

Hated the charcter, hated the name, hated the figure, but this makes him look oh so much better. Faithful update. Outstanding.

It's all in the verb choice. The easiest would be 'licks' instead of 'kicks'; but 'smears' or 'creams' are extra-grody double-entendres.

Do I gather you're planning a 'realistic' version of him and Windmill, IW? Those I bet I like more due to the non-garish color schemes; but there's no denying the inspired use of the head and the overall skill here.

LOL. I'm thinking that a butt backstop could kick an occasional skidmark quite plainly. ;-)

Adrien, I'd love to do versions of Skidmark and Windmill based on their appearance in the comics during the BAT infiltration of the PIT. Artist used the figure design, but did a color swap. And Larry Hama made great use of them booth.
