Two more today. I've checked 7 stores now, with roughly 7 more in my area. All but one have the same merchandise, so when these hit at my area, I should have plenty of stores.

Matthew... I know you feeling on this. I have hit 5 DGs in the areas of the house and mine & the wife's work. Still have several more to check out. Then its a matter of expanding the search. Good luck to all on finding these.

I know this is a tangent, but have any of you thought of the LBC potential in the Variants of these figures. I was looking at the picture of the green Snake Eyes & Shipwreck and decided that the green Firefly would be easily made from the Shippy body with SE's gear. Not to begin the hunt for a masked head with a cap.

I've been to 4 in my area. Only 1 had them. I'm going to at least 2 more tomorrow and maybe a 3rd. Still trying to see what options I have in getting some another way.

OK so Sunday is truck day here. So far I have found nothing.

Going to try tomorrow. 3 DG's, a FD, and a Fred's. Hopefully one will have them.

Found them all today at the DG by the house. I have only looked at 2 DG's. I was about to give up on them and found them on an end cap of the toy isle. I left the CC and Duke, but got the rest. There are a few other DG's on my side of Austin I might check out.

Checked my other two Dollar Generals tonight. Neither of them have these. I don't think the one store that does have them is selling them fast enough to order more, soon. If anybody's got some spare Cobra Troopers, let me know.

there is all of one DG in Southern California it seems and it's maybe 10 minutes from where I work. I've checked several times this week and last and have yet to see anything. This is even more annoying since I saw a post on HT saying that they DID find them at that very same DG. I'm calling bull on that though since there's no pegs or tags anywhere for them. These are put up with the rest of the toys, right?

the ones I found were not with the toys. From the 2 DG's I've been to, the toys were on 2 different isles. The Joes were on one of those metal end cap things and there was no price tag on them. Apparently they just put the out because all 6 were still there. I passed by them 3 times before I started looking all over the store for the. It was on my way put that I happened upon them. I think there are a couple more DG's around my area that I will check out tomorrow, and I will post my findings.

Found them here in central MO. The checkout conversation:

Clerk (probably 5-10 years younger than I am, female): Okay, I gotta ask... Why? Birthday presents? For a kid? For you? You collect them?

Me: Yeah, I collect them, but a couple of them are actually for a kid.

Clerk: Was just curious because it's not every day you see someone buy $40 worth of GI Joes.

Me: Yeah, guess it's rare.

Clerk: Not that it's a bad thing! I spend my money on all sorts of crazy things!

Me: Okay, thanks.

Clerk: Thanks! Have a nice day!

That Cobra Commander is much cooler in hand than I thought it would be. Wasn't sure what I was going to do with it, but it may become my default CC now.
