Deadshot is perfect now. That head is way better.

I can't tell, but is the Penguin body the dad character from Speed Racer? Not sure what other short rotund body would work to capture the look of the Penguin.

Penguin is pretty cool, but that Speed Racer/John Goodman head is inspired. Now I want that head just to find a way to work one of his characters into my Joeverse. :D

Love that Harley!!!! She's perfect no crits at all. Really nice choice for Pengin as well, it really captures his look well. I do like the new head better for deadshot too. Ther was just something off to the old one. Nice work as always.

Deadshot is way better with the new head. My Penguin is still a WIP from 2 years ago using similar parts. One day...

deadshot looks much better, more menacing that way. I like the work you did on Penguin - love the head, hat, cigarrette, etc... and the paints are outstanding as always. Only thing I'm not 100% on is his size, but that, as with a great many things in the Bat-verse is subject to interpretation.

One thing is 100% - you are on a roll my man.

Glad you guys are digging these.

Wanted to share a quick few pics of the custom accessory I whipped up for Penguin: a conversion kit to turn his umbrella into a gun.

Here are the components:

Here's what it looks like assembled:

And here's how he fires it:

I added some swivel elbow action to make the firing stance more natural.

What do you guys think?

Dead Shot looks great. I like the new head on him a lot better.

Penguin is fantastic. Great eye for parts, and exceptional paints as always. The umbrella gun is a really cool addition!

Inspired base for Penguin. Looks a threat instead of an odd fat midget.
But curse you, you Chadmatted me of using the Renegades CC head for Deadshot. If you hollowed out the original hat, it might fit over the helmet.

I really appreciate all the kind words and encouragement, guys. They're inspiring the heck out of me.

To that end, I used an hour tonight to finish up another long-simmering idea I had:
Attachment:
Fate.jpg
Fate.jpg [ 598.7 KiB | Viewed 800 times ]

Dr. Fate is mostly MU Cyclops (90s version) with the lower arms from a Secret Wars Cyclops (only the right hand was his, though -- the left came from another comic book doctor) -- and naturally the Cyclops yellows didn't match. The belt is a modified Sentry belt, the cape is from Adam Warlock and the head is from a DC Infinite Heroes version of Fate himself.

And while I was tying up loose ends, I went back to address a custom I've never really been happy with. If you look back in this thread, you'll see a Green Arrow custom I slapped together to fill a spot on the roster. I could never quite figure out what was bugging me about it, and no matter how much I tweaked it I couldn't get comfortable with it. So I started completely over and ended up with this:
Attachment:
arrow.jpg
arrow.jpg [ 440.22 KiB | Viewed 800 times ]

It's a Secret Wars Cyclops torso on some Iron Fist legs with 25th Tomax/Xamot upper arms, 25th Buzzer lowers and 25th Serpentor gloves and feet. The belt/skirt, head, hood and quiver were culled from a DCIH Green Arrow. The harness and boot spats are from MU Commander Rogers and the bandolier is from 25th Duke.

I'm much happier with this version. Not only because the proportions seem a bit more realistic but because it's a good half head taller than the old one and fits in much better with the rest of my DC-verse customs. It also holds a pose better:

What do you guys think?

You get the hell out of my head - and take your hidden cameras out of my man cave RIGHT NOW MISTER!!

Seriously - I have that EXACT SAME recipe (with a different head) on my workbench with the first coat of paint drying. I'd been trying to work a cloth cape for mine, but with no luck, so when I got an extra Warlock cape, I put it all together and tossed it on the "paint tomorrow" pile. I mean - really - I have the Sentry belt on mine and everything. Guess I'll have to change it up a bit before I finish it so I don't bore people with a lesser version of yours ;-)

Really like the update on Ollie, too - although I still worry that the DCIH head is too small. Luckily, the hood makes up for it somewhat. But I dig the Steve Rogers boots and the strap work on the torso.

What's next? :D

Ollie's legs looks kinda skinny compared to the torso and boots. I'm thinking maybe painting them a darker green might help. Not the same dark green as the tunic but darker than the green they are now.

I'm not sure the legs are too skinny, then look longer than they should be...

I like both of them, ollie is really neat, I like his look.Fate I pretty much did the same with mine too, but didn't use the fate head, I have it but looks really small to me with the body and I don't have the sentry belt and used Visions cape. Keep them comin...
